Custom Kernel

I debloated both of those apps.

I don't include the custom kernels.

I would first flash my complete ROM as a base line and see if everything is working. Then flash the custom kernel later using the flash tool, by not checking everything except kernel and not erasing IDB.

The best backup app is Titanium...but it requires root.

So for the first time, just look for another backup app in the Google Play Store that can save both apps and data. You may be able to configure the app to save the backup to external SD...but if not, you can copy the backup folder to external SD...then copy it back after you flash.

Hi , I am using Riley rom 1.3a and I am very satisfied. I would like to ask if this new rom has such big changes that I need to flash or should I wait maybe the android kitkat ?

The 1.3/1.3a are the slowest ROMS (not a Randy fault but they are based on STOCK slow ones) so I strongly suggest you to upgrade to 1.4.2 OR 1.5 ROM.
You will surely see the difference.
About Kitkat, we hare finger crossed waiting for this release before christmas... but I think we will have to wait till next year...

Excuse me for my question, but I just receive my Pipo and I want to install Riley 1.5 tonight. What I'd like to know is if Giouncino kernel is already included or if I have to install it separately, and if Turbofly and Uc browser have been left or debloated. And, first of all... THANKS for the wonderful Riley work!

Screen Rotation Widget Bug

Riley excellent ! I really love your ROMS.
I am currently testing 1.5 so far i found an issue with the QuickSettings Widget. Screen Rotation Lock/Unlock Button does not work . Maybe it comes from the stock rom? To be tested

M6Pro testing with some Giouncino patched kernels

Hello all,

on this quiet Sundaymorning I did some testing with my M6Pro and the Giouncino kernels.
Here are the results:

AnTuTu @ 17980 with Rileyrom 1.5 kernel

AnTuTu @ No Score, with Giouncino kernel_1.5_cpu1704h_1325mV_gpu600h STOCK_ddr720_Claro.zip
Boot, but hangs in AnTuTu CPU float performance (@21%)


AnTuTu @ No Score, with Giouncino kernel_1.5_cpu1704h_gpu600_ddr720_target_2.1
Does not boot at all

When I was using the Riley 1.3a my M6 Pro allowed for a patched kernel, but with the Riley 1.5 only the default Riley kernel works good.
I think it has to do with my M6, maybe others will have better results.

I will not switch to 1.5, I will test next firmware (hopfully a Kitkat release).

For 1.5 used exactly the same scripts i've tested on previous kernel releases, so I don't expect any particular problem.
