Pipo M6 Pro RileyROM 1.5

Hallo ,I am a new owner of the tablet Pipo m6 pro and I have a question ."Pipo m6 pro wifi" also has sim holder?I ask becouse I have Wifi version, but i see that also has sim slot.I inserted a sim card but nothing is going on .

it seems some lucky buyers get a 3G device when they bought a WiFi only . Check this post in a spanish forum : http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=744091

Maybe Pipo run out of stock for the WiFi device . It should work with a SIM card .

I've been "unlucky" , I got the Pipo M6 Pro WiFi as required .

My tablet have a slot for sim card and on the back of the tablet write 3G WCDMA .Ai have "RileyRom 1.5" ,we inserted sim card but nothing is going on ,on the desktop i have message "NO SIM Card " .I was thinking if only wifi version with sim slot but no modem or is 3G version but the modem is damaged .

L.E -I tested the tablet and -My tablet is 3G .The first time I tried the OTG cable USB dongle it worked a few seconds then disconnected .Then I seen that my tablet has sim slot and I inserted the sim but nothing .Then I tried to conncet usb dongle to pc and surprise it did not work .We tested separately and sim card and it does not work .Unfortunately my usb dongle and sim card was "fried" ,if it was the fault of the tablet, I do not know .Anyway I introduced another sim in the tablet and it sees .
Please excuse my language errors, but my English is not too good .

Some tablets support that feature of pausing on removal of headset but it has to be supported in the audio hardware and firmware and seems not currently on m6pro

just put your sim in the sim slot and restart your tablet. work for me.

In first post of this thread you can find the archive .Inside the archive you will find and a guide.'s Very simple to follow.And I'm also for the first time I did this and it worked without problems .

This tablet is not the dual band. Wifi work only in 2.5GHZ .

Upgrade procedure

Hello all.
I need someone clarify me something with regarding to upgrade .
On Pipo site I've found the upgrade procedure and they tell that it need enter my Pipo M6 Pro 32 (wi-fi) to upgrade mode by "press the “ volume +“ key for a few seconds, at the same time press “power”, release” Volume + “ until the tool finds out your tablet." before I connected it to upgrade tool for upgrade .But in the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNAgJaLvQKM&feature=youtu.be The Guy tell nothung about upgrade mode . In Riely's instuction nothing about this .Could anyone tell me whether I need enter my Pipo to upgrade mode before connecting by USB to flash tool ? When I need to perform the "press the “ volume +“ key for a few seconds, at the same time press “power”, release” Volume + “ until the tool finds out your tablet????

I followed the steps in the Riley tutorial and I had no problem. Without pressing the volume button or something.Follow the steps in the tutorial and how long you prepare a cup of tea, you have the new rom installed .
And I have the same version of the tablet, just luckily I received the 3G version .

Be carefull with those marketing trics.... 3G and now even 4G has also nothing to do with 3Ghz or 4Ghz its simply the 3rd and 4th generation of data over cellular phone.

If you see : 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz , then and only then it is correctly advertised as dualband. But I never saw that anywhere...

Ok, off topic - 802.11a means 5GHz WiFi as you know. It should work dualband. Thank you - on topic I just installed. 1.5.1 it seems to work fine

You can re-enable this setting in 1.5.1 by turning on the rk resolution in the build.prop (see my post earlier in this thread) or you can use 1.4.2.
