T-R42 or K-R42 Purchase?

Lewy, I'm considering the T-R42 from GeekBuying, but concerned with the problems I've read about here in the forums. Since you have both do you think the K is more stable than the T 2.0?

Does your .apk JustXBMCv4 work with this Rom?

Lewy20041 created this ROM prior to receiving his unit and is actively working on a new ROM around festive celebrations with his family.

While the K-R42 appears to work very well with his JustXBMC ROM, long term, the T-R42 V2 would be a sound purchase with built in Bluetooth.

From many years of networking experience, WiFi isn't very reliable for streaming media, especially in these Android mini-PC's & set top boxes.

I would highly recommend Ethernet for a sound and reliable connection.

For what it's worth, running an EKB311 (no BT) on this ROM, I get a stable 35MB/s download rate over wifi.

some times ask me a password

I don't know why. the screen changed and ask a password.
do you know default password?
if you know please tell me and how to change it?

another problem is sound problem.
from stand by to on the power sound is not working.
after reboot is ok to work.

I don´t know which version I have.

I couldn´t get working any custom ROM, only the stock is working.
Tried K-R42_HFW_3.2F (unfortunately), then Wasser, T-R42_2.0_Board - all have bootloops and won´t start.
The only one which is working is stock CS918_1080_20131214.img

Did you try only g with 12Mbs? Its very important! i tried with 10 or 24,11, 18Mbit also but only with 12Mbs everything works fine and theres fast Wifi, also i had to turn the Turbo mode off.

yes i tryed only g with 12Mbs -only first time speed was normal 15mbs down and 10 up but all next time speed down -1 Mbs and 10 up(....

I can confirm the board pictured is not the same layout as the T-R42 V2.

Wifi problem

Hi guys,

i have the t-r42 2.0 with lewy20041 rom...My wifi speed with stock rom and lewy rom is bad(0-40kb/sec download)....
i am using a router b/g ..... I flashed my device many times ..i used all the kernels...all the available roms etc...
The only thing that worked for me, was the change of wifi channel in the router. I have changed the channel for auto to manual and then i find the right channel..For my home network the T-r42 is working fine in channel 6 or 7.. In the other channels i am getting max 0-40 kb/sec not only in internet speed but also when i am copying data files.
at 6-7 channel i am getting:
Wifi data transfer speed (from my storage to t-r42). :average 1,82mb/sec
internet speed : all the bandwidth from the isp.... 12mbps

Lewy20041 ...pls do something about this matter....you did so far an excellent work... Fix the bug...
