Hello rrileypm ! Thanks for the wonderful rom. I need a favor. Can you please upload the original ROM Pipo M6 OTA update firmware dated 12/27/13 as downloading site is in chines and very slow to download. I have tried many attempt but failed. if you have original ROM can you please upload it as well.

Kernel version??

I have updated to 2.0 and like the stability. I do see lags often, especially when downloading program updates or content updates. I am interested in the kernel updates but am not sure which is correct for me. v4 or v4.1

Currently I show kernel 3.0.36+

Which do I select and how do I install it? I am familiar with the rom updates having had 4 android tablets over the past few years, but never a kernel update.

The overclocked Kernels have been posted in this thread somewhere, I would recommend going with the faster one, it makes no difference to the battery but makes quite a big difference to performance. Its really easy to update, When the flash rom is open just click the little box to the right of where its says kernel , then navigate to the folder where you downloaded the overclocked when and click open

After each few days, my tab does not wake up any more and I have to do a reset to restore it. It's already annoying that it freezes, but on top of that I always have to search for some tiny tool to press freakin reset button. Any solution for either of the problems?

FYI. The kernel version 3.0.36+ refers to the standard Rockchip source code the kernel is compiled. Pipo updates kernel settings with each firmware release but it's still 3.0.36+...because that's the architecture the kernel is based on. All current RK3188 device has a 3.0.36+ kernel.

The inability to switch from high definition to normal display is a real bummer! Why in the world would PiPo disable it!?

In other ways things work a bit smoother and seem more consistent....which is not necessarily good. For example, when browsing and especially when typing things like this post, it is really laggy and slow. Not sure if that is because of the high def or not. I am using Balrog's v4.1 tweak too.

I have to admit that I am eyeing the new Samsung 10.1 2014 edition pretty closely. Anyone wanna buy a perfect condition M6 Max with a nice leather case? :-)

Are you using chrome or the stock browser.. chrome has always been laggy on mine..

It really does not matter much what browser it is.... Firefox, Chrome, stock. It's mainly just the extra resources required to run in HD it seems. I'm going back to 1.9.
