Bob to build a new boot.img for kitkat 4.4.2 do we have to follow the same steps that are used when building a boot.img in 4.2.2 ???

To pack boot.img is the same between the two. This is a RK architecture thing not a Android kitkat thing.

However the changes you make to boot my now not be the same!
I will explain some of that later as for sure things have changed inside boot!

First of all, good work you guys do here!!

Will this rom run on my MK802IV ? Right now i'm running neomode 1.9a but having problems with my USB to LAN adapter, my device freeze or reboots

Chipset on USB to LAN is: AX88179, AX88772A or SMSC7500 bought on ****: LAN Adapter should have high speeds, but dosent work or freeze up my device :/

So, is 1 of these chipset included in this rom ? Then i will give it a try!

Finless, are you gong to be adding the systemui edits for volume/power anytime soon or should i dust off my apk dissembler

Also two things i noticed, on the first boot, the screen edges were not visible, had to go into settings and scale it down, after every boot it happens but after completing the boot it goes to the scale set in the settings (after 10 second)

The second thing is that when i put my tv on standby, the stick shutsdown after a while, 20 mins i think, i have to replug it to boot it backup


One more thing i noticed is that i no longer need null keyboard app with my logitech k220 since it doesn't popup the keyboard when its reciever is plugged in

Edit: it seems screenshots are being saved in /internal_sd/0 instead of /internal_sd/Pictures/Screenshots/

Edit 2: google contact system seems to be missing frim the ROM? My whatsapp /viber wont find any contacts, neither doea contact+, it keeps crashing

Edit 3: Volume contrilling seems to be missing aswell, can only silent the audio, the slider wont move to lower the audio, tested using mxplayer aswell..

I am also having these issues. I am using an RC11 for my controller. Also, the CX 919 seems to shutoff display sooner than 20 minutes and I notice it when I switch HDMI inputs.
P.S. I LOVE the new boot animation!

I managed to fix the screen timeout via an xposed module

I experience the same using the stock 4.2 ROM that came with my unit

Switching HDMI to 720p instead of 1080p takes cares of the on / off video

Also, my Sony TV is more sensitive to the 1080p setting than a newer LG TV, in fact, I don't think I had this problem when I tried it on the LG TV ?

Back to this "blinking" on / off issue

I tried the GM282 @ 1080p with my LG TV and it does not flicker or switch on / off at all
The sony TV blinks every 5 seconds or so

Just flashed this beta firmware to mk802iv ap6210.
It works and seems pretty COOL but it its not ready to be used daily, mainly because the ui is very slow (i guess this happens because the kernel is not meant for the mk802iv)
Anyway i have to say big thx to Bob for his work with this rom.

1. WiFi and Bluetooth are running good and stable.
2. There is no audio at all, and the usb sound card is not recognized.
3. The frequencies for the ram and the gpu don't overclock correctly. ram has a 222 mhz frequency and video just 333mhz.
4. Sometimes screen goes off and after 3 seconds it goes on again
5. swapped boot.img works correctly, as it swaps the sd with the nand memory (nice)
6. Missing power off button (this one is really important) also the volume buttons.
7. I tested antutu and got with the 1.8ghz kernel 15900 points.
8. I run the dmesg on terminal and it gives errors in the end.

Cx-919 (I like this rom)

1. WiFi and Bluetooth are running good and stable.
2. Ethernet very slow & intermittent (works for 1 minute at the most)
3. Sixaxis touch seems to be missing from the rom (virtual_touchscreen)
4. sixaxis profiles from other roms are messed up (profiles rotate to the right 90 degrees)
5. Missing power off button (really important) also the volume buttons & hide bottom taskbar
6. antutu score @1.8ghz 18240
7. rom & UI runs very fast & is stable &unit remains cool to the touch
8. swapped boot.img works PERFECT, as it swaps the sd with the nand memory (love this bob please include it in all rom packages)
9. RkExplorer is the old version 4.1 with no lan explore ( version 5.0 is better)

I tested this rom on my MK908II and basically it's the same Neoal:

1. Wifi & BT ok.
2. Audio via HDMI (internal audio) works fine but volumen is always going back to HIGH, if I set it down, it goes back up.
3. General UI is very slow.
4. In my case I didn't notice any screen off.
5. Didn't try the swapped boot, but it's a great idea, I can use my 32 Gb.
6. Missing power off button (I agree, it's very important).

So, it's basically same report and it's really slow to use it unfortunatelly yet, but it's a GREAT work really. By the way, I used to have video buffering problems with 4.2 version and in this version the problem is no longer there. At least for me.
