My issue (as described by Biatsch) is occuring with ATV520E. I have not flashed Jnyxbox Linux to my ATV1200.

I need to edit the SPI update and remove the assertion check.

Can you point to a thread that describes how to do this? I hate feeling incompetent or even impotent with things like this. Would be happy to do some reading and sort it out myself too! There are some basics that I'm missing and need to understand. Such as what's the difference between SPI and STVMX? Amongst others.

inside Spi u find recovery, uboot and partitiontable (hope is true what iam writing) is base System for mtd layout and recovery

STVMX
Rom for STVMX Named-Box (has to be compatible to mtd layout)


so if u Flash stock Firmware for example , flash first spi then Rom


....my box now in example has jynxm6 Name and so i cant Flash original spi and Rom because its checked within zip files

What tools are used make changes to each of these? E.g. #1, to fix SPI assertion check and E.g. #2, to say add .apks or change boot animation in the ROM. Ideally for Windows

Yes, that's the idea. The installer script no longer looks at build.prop for stvmx and thus should install without an error.

So you flash this first then flash the Android ROM of your choice.

As you can see, it is failing when trying to format uBoot!

I can try to remove the format command and see if it will even write the raw image but I bet that will fail too.
