    Hi,
I am using H96 max x2 for few days, overall it is good, but I don't see notification and navigation bars. Is there a new firmware for this tv box?

It's probably some restrictions from the firmware or from the home launcher!
Hoping in near future for an update to fix that and also adding status bar and notification bar!

I have recently got this box but the default firmware is buggy to say the least and the seller doesn't know that he sold me an AML device and not a multi coloured Rockchip, which he sent me a link to the firmware for. So I was wondering which of these two is recommended?

                Cheers

I can't even get one of them to install. I keep getting an error, tried 20 times. I think it 'may' be the cable as I used a USB 3 cable and am awaiting a USB 2 male to male. Other than that I do not know what I could've done wrong. The error message mentioned erase bootloader failed to identify or something. I know the box is a H96 Max X2 Android internals confirm that. I didn't brick it though. Tried multiple versions of Amlogic USB burner, same result.

                      • Use USB Burning tool 2.1.6.8 DONT USE OLDER ONES....
                      • This boxes are very picky when it comes to flashing, so use a quality usb cable.
                      • Also connect the power supply when you are flashing.
                      • Normally on my box the first 2 flashes go bad... dont worry the box wont brick because of it, it wont boot until you flash it fully but it always enters in flash mode...
                      • Just try and try and try until you get a good flash.
                      • I recommend you guys press start in the flash tool and then connect the box...
                      • Be persuasive ....

Thanks for that but my box won't start flashing until the power cable is removed. I am hoping some genius will get the image to install via the SD card slot.

Also it has been found USB devices plugged into PC, dongles keyboards can also interfere, I think SC called it USB Buffer overrun or something
Was having all sorts of issues here with 905x2, unplugged keyboard and Logitech mouse dongle from the PC burned instantly

                          Load firmware push start
Unplug All usb devices from PC
Then plug In Box to burn

I have now installed the firmware without problems. See if you're not recording instruction. Power cord and USB cable needs at the same time. Sorry for my bad English.

I also use a USB 3.0 cable without any problem....
Use the USB 2.0 port of the tv box for flashing!
Also use the latest burning tool with the licence inside!
And also push start in the flash tool and then connect the box!
                              Good luck!
