Yes...I dont understand why those Chinese act like this....I experienced same with orders from China. Most of the sellers do not care. Aliexpress is huge but same with them. I ordered several times through Aliexpress but I wont do in future. Ill go with amazon and ****...service is much better and Chinese prices on Aliexpress, tomtop and so on are not that good.....

I have tested every rom on 4pda, but I get confused which was which. I do however have seen every rom freezing hanging or not waking up and every other small problem here and there.

Yes thats the one, but download from my links, i dont know the one mentioned in your post is from x96 or h96.

The rom is in english, just the launcher and droidtv settings are in russian, navigation is not a problem but i dont want russian on my box, so i found ways to eliminate faulty apks

The russian launcher used is from beelink box, we will need to get the v115, others have waking problems.

For starters, I would advise you not get droidtvsettings.apk from any online website. (paranoia). You need root for this and familiarity with permissions. If you have stock firmware installed, proceed with this.

1. open es file explorer (install from market) allow root explorer. Navigate to vendor/app/DroidTVsettings folder (vendor folder is not in system folder, it will be alongside system, system and vendor are in same place)
2. Copy the DroidTVsettings.apk to your sdcard. Also, select the apk and check properties, see the permissions given to it (checked) we will need to use the info later)
3. Flash the people's firmware.

Optional: This firmware comes with system wide supersu which is very bad, So the first thing I do, open supersu app goto settings and fully unroot, it will give warning, and will threaten with reboot but wont reboot, you can pull the plug after 30 seconds and restart box. download root checker to verify that you dont have root, then flash magisk zip from recovery and magisk manager to regain systemless root. IF YOU DONT MIND SUPERSU, SKIP THIS STEP.

4. open es file explorer navigate to vendor/app/DroidTVsettings folder. And replace the apk there with the one you brought from stock (in sdcard).
5. Most Important step: Select the apk goto properties, permissions, and give only those permissions which you saw in step 2. The permissions should be same.
6. Reboot box, and voila you have droid settings in english. (Droid settings is different from system settings)

The same procedure goes for lighthome launcher too but you will need to procure the new apk from the link marked above with ******* and you will begin at step 3. That link has two folders, choose the system-app, lighthome and then lighthome.apk. Just download this apk. Then navigate to system/app folder, you will find a lighthome.apk there. Select it and check its permissions in properties, remember these permissions. Copy the new lighthome.apk to this place replacing the old one, give permissions and reboot. Done.

Important: Note that you wont be able to reset the box after replacing the apks. this is because we replaced original apks that came with people's firmware, reset will cause bootloop.

The firmware runs very well, no crashes no freezes no random reboots. It had few flaws. Youtube 1080p is green for first run, then you go back and dismiss the video and start video again, it runs fine. The box reboots when 1 TB HDD 3.0 is attached, runs fine on completing the boot. I guess power needs cause this. I can live with both flaws. The thing I didn't like is that it has beelink launcher but the launcher is in russian, every app is english except launcher, droidtvsettings (different from system settings) and hdbox.

HDbox apk is worthless for me I deleted it from system/app/ folder and it vanished on reboot.

The box has system wide supersu root. If you dont want that, you can fully unroot from supersu app settings. Then reboot. Enter recovery and flash magisk zip and manager to achieve system less root on demand.

If you have stock firmware we can start with the apk replacement, DroidTVsettings apk is located in vendor/app/droidtvsettings folder. (Vendor folder is located on root storage of device, the folder is not in system folder, it sits alongside system folder)

Ported by sergej from 4pda. This is stock firmware for x96 max box ported to our h96max people are reporting this works good, i shall be trying it today, and sharing link here for those interested. Please give your thoughts after testing for others to benefit
