Should I try reinstalling the whole rom? Is there a crash report I can access?

I wish I knew. It just crashes at random times. I'll try reinstalling the whole thing...

I note already that the ability to delete apps from the main screen is lost again. I am referring to the little x that is supposed to come up at the to centre of the screen when an icon is long-pressed. Similarly, long pressing on an app in the app drawer allows me to place the icon on the main screen but not delete the app or select the app info.
Also no longer have the option to change launchers on the settings screen or turn the Google search bar on or off.

where did you get the kernel from?
@wasser - i use beyond xbmc 3.4 but my live tv - is not smooth at all with the new kernel (from your post before) - i have freezers on video and audio.
best regards
holli
I'm now working on new xbmc based gotham for my wasser firmware. It looks good and plays 1080p video perfect, spdif passthrough is also supported in wasser xbmc too
I will upload it very soon.

So I reinstalled the original firmware and have been running for a couple of hours without any crashes so far. This is with the first kernel. I'll see how it goes and hold off flashing the new kernel until it starts misbehaving (hopefully it won't!)
I've also installed apex launcher to get around the inability to delete icons/apps...

which firmware and which xbmc version have you tested?
the xbmc-13-beta2 works perfect on my 1.0.1 firmware for UT1

I tested again, it happened with high bitrate movie. The movie with low bitrate will play smoothly, but high cpu usage is going on.Last edited by cbch; 25 May 2014, 03:40.

Ready to throw it out the window...
Well...
I've tried reflashing with the original kernel and also updating the kernel.. Unit keeps rebooting at random times, even when idle.
Can someone point me to a stable rom (even if it is laggy) just so I can see if the unit is actually capable of operating for a long time without crashing?
Otherwise can someone tell me if there is a crash log or something that I can find to figure out why this is happening?
I' just about tearing my hair out now...
