I have checked your Scores TVDroid. My MK802IV with RK3188T can only Run at 1.6 Ghz at max.
If I gave him more he didn´t run Stable.
Though I think we are right the RK3188T are selected out CPU that not can run on 1.6 or more Stable.

        Neomode

Maybe they just went for a cheaper process which couldn't guarantee a large enough yield of cpu's at the speed they wanted so they just restricted all them to the 1.4 speeds.

Would explain why some over clock poorly and others do it as well as none T cpu.

Don't bother checking them all just send the whole batch out as the one lowered speed.

It still doesn't explain why we can't run the same rom on almost identical devices even without OC..

It could if there serious changes in the process affect the cpu makeup.

But its all guess work at this point and quite frustrating.

              My MK802Iv running neomode 2.1 beta with sam321 1.8 720p 1000mhz ram runs solid as a rock.

All post screen shoots in a few .

how about an open letter with eveyones forum names attached that says we will not support or purchase any rk3188-t or mislabeled products sent to the biggest manufacturers of android stick pcs? ie tronsmart, etc ---maybe coop with a few of the other big sites. apparently geekbuying thinks we're important enough to have a presence on..

Found the first not blinking 1080p kernel

I found the stock firmware from Cloudnetgo for their CR11S 5MP as the only 1080p kernel working (not blinking) so far on my mk902 (probably 3188T) as well. Because rom is no rooted I took this kernel from firmware and overclocked it with rkpatchomatic from 1.4GHz.
Kernel CPU 1.6GHz, GPU stock (600? could go up to 667 from dmesg), DDR 667MHZ is working stable. 1.7Ghz or DDR 720 doesnt boot so those are limits of my 3188t. The only reserve is probably in GPU where 667 seems possible.
Now I use Neomode 1.9a with this patched 1080 CR11S kernel (or with stock neomode kernel 720p). ROM can work with 720p or 1080p kernels.
The best on this CR11S kernel is that it is the only 1080p kernel, I have found so far, not blinking or flickering at all. All other custom kernels blink every 2s nearly with all tested monitors. Wifi, BT, lan working ok, only camera is upside down.
I think that whether the kernel runs or not depends on overclocking. But blinking doesnt depend on frequency because blinking kernel blinked on every forced frequency.
Interesting for me was the note in readme of this stock rom that this rom involves newest patches from rockchip.

With NeoMode 2.1 my Stick only freeze lol
But with 1.7 and SAM Kernel it runs so great.
Our Devices are crazy, i dont know.

Tobr, which cr11s 5mp kernel have you used. The 2mp kernel 5.12.2013 could not overclock my tv01/cs968.

Maybe you didn't saw, but GB was changed most of announcements to RK3188T.Of course in the description is still 1.6 Ghz (max 1.8). Pretty interesting that some devices still contains RK3188, like CX-919 and QC-802.

Just got my Minix x7 mini and it is running as shipped at 1.6ghz and plays and networks smoothly. The best way to handle this on our end is to not buy the cheap sticks. Buck up and go Minix. I've gone through 3 of the cheap ones now. No more. Minix is the most solidly built, and I got what was advertised to me.

                          Go Minix, be happy.

Tobr would you mind posting your modified kernel or the whole rom so others can test it on their devices as well? I would like to give it a shot on my cx-919.

@fish7yu : The problem with that is that you keep the stick and GB keeps selling them as they are. The manufacturer is being dishonest and making like the situation is OK, when it isn't. Nothing against GB, but that's just not the way to handle it at all.

If people keep buying the things, they have no reason to change them.
