Did something wrong... please help

Hi guys,

I flashed Quckshot V2 over android 4.4.2 by wasser via CWM. That is not a good idea apparently, since it was stuck on boot screen since. So I tried the PC tool, but onfortunately this gives me an error message too.
I checked wasser's thread on info about partition sizes, but I didn't see any, so I assumed CWM should work...
What should I do now?

EDIT: I can't connect to PC now anymore, I hear the "connect" sound (Windows 7) but then after a second or two, it diconnects autmatically...

Edit: never mind, for some reason I succeeded in the next attempt. Turns out if you hold the power button for some time it will connect properly again.

I had problems using my back USB ports. Don't know which it was in usb2 or 3 but switching to my front ports fixed it for me. Try some different one.

You could try this:

I'm not sure if this helps, but I had a (kinda) similar problem thanks to that great 4.4 FW which also flashed CWM alongside -> My recovery went corrupted and the X7 wouldn't boot anymore, only when trying to run recoverymode it would shut down after 1 second.

Make sure the correct drivers are installed/available on your system, connect the X7, press and hold the recovery button and then press and hold the power button.
Keep both buttons pressed the whole time and wait for windows to recognise the device. Now try to flash a new firmware/recovery using the official Minix tools/FW(And don't release the buttons! A bit tricky, but doable )

I got my device back to work again on this way. (And I'll never try the crappy FW by 'wasser' again :P )

Can you tell me how you did this configuration please? Basically i will follow your instructions on first page to install quickshot and then how can i install beyond xbmc?

Yes, simply install the Rom, go settings/aplications, remove the xbmc included and install flumpster beyond xbmc.

For the kernel, I downloaded the kernel pack, unrar it, select the kernels we want to try (only 3 allowed in quickflasher at same time) and from quickflasher flashed it.

I think the problem is in the external hd.
Please lets try something, disconnect the usb hdd, make some antutu benchmark in a raw, city of citadel, or something similar, the purpose is stress cpu and ram, if the box is stable without the hd plugged, then you must use a powered usb hub to plug the external hd.

i disconect the external hd but the result was the same,system crashed(shutdown).
i disconect the usb stick for logitech k400 keyboard and seems that the system is ok.i complete the antuntu stability test and everything was ok until i conect my keybord.after 1 minute when i am using the mouse system crashed(shutdown).
i am using the keyboard with an app called external keyboard helper pro as default method because i want to write and with greek layout
i am not sure if this is a problem and why i dont have any issues with stock kernels.
in the meantime i changed the PSU with another in the same voltage 5 V but with more mamps (5000 instead of 3000 stock) but there was nothing different.
so what is your opinion????

Urps, strange, then the problem is with the keyboard? Have you a usb hub or an usb extension cable? Try to connect it a little far 30 cms far of the x7.

I have test it with usb hub with external power suply and usb cable but it isn't worked with any oc kernel

How do I change default Wi-fi band

I am using this rom with 1704CPUstockGPU720ram kernel controlled from a Logitech K400 keyboard with HDMI through my ONKYO reciever to my projector. I have been having some audio dropouts and streaming video freezing in XBMC using Xunity Istream. When i check my speedtest.net wi-fi speed on my 50Mbps Cox Cable connection running through my Linksys EA4500 N900 router (18ft away) I get 15-18Mbps download speed. When i use the ethernet connection from the same router i get 62- 65 Mbps download and XBMC streams much better with few dropouts and no freezing. (Sometimes it pays to complain about slow service to your cable provider ) When i check my wi-fi signal using wi-fi analyzer I see the 2.4Ghz is getting 38 db but the 5 Ghz signal is getting 58 db . I know the X7 is dual band wi-fi but I cannot find out how to make the X7 select the right band. Is there a way for me to force the X7 to use the 2.4 Ghz band? I have another question. Does everyone use Xunity Istream to configure their XBMC or do you use another installer or do it manually? I find the skins on Xunity to be not quite right for my X7 with K400 combination. I also cannot get 5.1 channel output to my reciever anymore. I used to when i was using the stock minix 006 and generic android XBMC. BTW Great Rom! I and many others appreciate all the programmers here at Freaktab.

I am using Quickshot V2 - but I seem to get no sound out the headphone jack :-(
According to http://minixforums.com/threads/audio...n-neo-x7.2707/ Finless and the stock FW should both deliver audio via earphones AND HDMI as stock.

Any idea what the prob is?

I've tried playing a youtube video and i'm getting sound via earphones and HDMI. Try your earphones in another device, just to discard.

Sorry no more ideas. I dont know why your device cant overclock I will try to sent you a custom kernel and lets see if it works, let me some days because now I am working in kitkat leadked sources, when I finish it I will try to upload some custom kernels.
