Yep, the beer did the trick!

On a serious note, yes the installation worked when I just went with the default parameters in the RKAndroidTool.

Quickflasher instructions are in another thread, or did I not read this thread thoroughly enough?

download the kernel pack, pick one zip kernel file and put it under /sdcard/quickflasher/ then run quickflasher, choose the file, apply and reboot when asked.

... I'll add... only three zip files are allowed in the folder at one any one time with the included version... if you put more, it will only show the first 3. I believe the purchased version doesn't have that limitation.

Awesome, and shame on me... I saw proper instructions in post 1 or 2 when reading more carefully. Thanks for the advice and the help. This is by far the snappiest Rom I've seen so far even with no OC.

Dying to try it out fully... if only the time wasn't 3am in the morning

You guys RoCK, and a BIG thanks to fr3ak for pointing me in right direction!!

Edit: SPMC is working better with 1080p than beyond XBMX beta2. Didnt test beta 3 yet..
And SPMC is also working with HDMI Passthrough.
Sweet! Thanks for the feedback Phycopat! Can you provide a link to the specific SPMC version/download that you are currently using with HDMI passthrough? I currently am using the minix/Quickshot XBMC with the SPDIF passthrough but want to test HDMI instead (one less cable).

            Thanks again!!!

If you did patch the libmedia.so from this trend it will not work.. I had to reflash ROM to get it working.. I can try to copy the libmedia.so from my system, but you will have to paste it manual..

Strange that version would behave any better than Beyond Beta 2 as it was built off the exact same sources. Beta 2.9+ was based off the minix release instead to get all SD working also as a lot of SD content does not work on that SPMC or Beyond Beta 2.
                To Infinity and Beyond.... XBMC

@Flumpster: which one of your builds do you recommend using in this case to get HDMI sound output with this ROM using the libmedia.so patched file?

Beyond XBMC Beta 2.9 (NEO-X) or Beyond XBMC Beta 2 (Launcher Version) via the URL above?

                  Thanks again for your feedback!

I can't really comment on the sound part as I only use hdmi straight into tv but if what you need works in the SPMC above then use Beta 2 as it is basically the same but you will lose playback on some SD content in both them versions. If you can get what you need in beta 3.3 then that plays all content better.

I really need to buy a receiver and test this stuff.

Dont have much SD to test with, a little live streams, but rest is HD as i dont like "bad" quality.. SD can be very bad on a 65" tv, HD is alot better! :-)

Just noticed your 3.3 will test it tomorrow and see what works and what dosent ;-)
Just had playback problems with your beta2, 1080p was not smooth, but it was with SPMC..
Dont know the diffs, but something where must be ;-)

But will test tomorrow, and report back :-)

Result: There is no HDMI option in 3.3..

Try disconnect ethernet in settings, disconnect the RJ45 cable (yes the Ethernet cable) and connect again the wifi. If this didn’t work reboot the device with the RJ45 cable disconnected. Sometimes when you disconnect Ethernet and connect wifi the system didn’t notice it properly.

Okay, so it turns out I'm an idiot. I'd downloaded the ROM for X7 Mini! Re-flashed with correct ROM and surprisingly enough its working perfectly.

Nice ROM and sorry for error, although it may help someone in the same situation for future :-)

                              microfreezes

Just tested it, smooth, ok in use, nice work guys. However microfreezes are still present when playing 1080p. The search for the holly grail continues..

My first flash on the x7 and everything works flawlessly. 1080p smooth and passthrough...

Microfreeze is indeed visible. But then again from what I have read there is no Rom without that.

So I will stick to it...

Like the quick flash, but I would like a recommendation on the kernel.

Which one gives the best performance but, not on the edge?
