hi,tried various kernel's for Quickshot NitroTeam's on Minix X7 fw,video is fine when played from external hdd whitout dts sound or streaming,when played with dts sound it's choppy every 4-5 seconds ,what is best kernel configuration to use?thnx

so means there is no CWM in V2?


Other issue im facing that all webpages are too big, iven im on 1080p and with "small icons" webpages are like 640x480 in Doplhin, FF havent find a way to resize...

We think is easy to ipdatw-change kernel using tincore quickflasher than Flash from recovery. The new way to upgrade from sdcard internal or external is to install future versioms of the Rom.

All kernels have the same sound output, they are the same kernel patched at different resolutiom and speed.

How you decode dts? By hdmi or spdif passthought? I use spdif passthought and it works great with DD or dts, in mxplayer, rockchip videoplayer or xbmc.

Remember that dts hd is not supported.

Hey all been using this ROM for a couple of days now, seems to work as described but I had a couple of problems :

1) The YouTube app has audio but no video, I've tried both the latest version from the Play Store and also an older version.

2) Games that require portrait mode are stretched and unplayable.

Other than that it seems to be a solid ROM

I'm not having any issues with the Youtube app... I get audio and video just fine. I do believe they included a known working version because ( like many video programs ) the others had/have issues.

As for the games comment... you need to contact the author of the game to get that addressed if you want to see it work in landscape mode also... that is outside of what a ROM itself can address.

I ordered my Minix Neo X7 yesterday, and while waiting it to arrive I started browsing various forums looking for more information about this product.
As it turns out, the official firmware seems to have some annoying problems, ugly launcher, SD-youtube, some glitchiness in XBMC HD playback.

What stock firmware you have in your neo x7?


I got mine neo x7 2 weeks ago with 008 firmware inside. Hd youtube clips play pretty well. Xbmc works fine, youtube play and login fix done. Full hd films 10GB plays good too, HW decoding works. No crash so far. Luncher is easy to change to. I dont try passthrough sound option yet becouse wait for my toslink optical cable. Hdmi stock cable is too short to test, and can listen opt soud without ON my ampli.

But still need root to block commercials with some aps and whant better 720p oc kernel too.
I'm going to update to Quickshot V2 too when officiall 720p kernel will be published by TNT.

I think so to, yes! Everybody was talking about, how fluid the videos run, especialy on your rom - that's why I bought this device in a first place.
It was strange for me right from the start, since the mouse cursor was stuttering in XBMC - in original version, in yours and even in Beyond xbmc version. Even in home screen of xbmc, when nothing was playing, loading etc. the mouse just stopped moving for a few seconds, them started moving whit heavy stuttering, then was moving normal, and stuttering again and so on and so on...
But the problem was not only with xbmc - every other player i tried, was stuttering in movies (the mouse cursor was allright in other players though...).
As I sad before, I tried the same movies on the same usb HDD on my TV, and everything was smooth.
I would watch movies on tv, but it doesn't have the subtitles settings, and the fonts are to small, with gray background etc. It doesn't play iso files, dvd folders etc. That's why I bought Minix in the first place.

I am sooo happy now! The Minix is staying with me!

Yes, justXBMC, SPMC or another version of XBMC that have the "libmedia hack" :-)

Ive tried MX player and XBMC...

In settings i have this options, nothing with HDMI...
I have this sound options and ive tried last 3 options

Last option is correct. For hdmi.
MXplayer is working by default here.
XBMC does also need a little sound Setting, choose hdmi, make sure to have a libmedia version of XBMC installed..
