No, Bluetooth, Wifi and Lan all work but the first one I suggested takes a long time to boot

I am trying to get enough time to build a custom kernel but I am still learning how to incorporate drivers from image dumps. Until now I have only done builds with board configs already built. If anyone out there has some input, I could try and crank this out in the next week or so.

AFAIK, if you have separate image files for partitions, the system.img file (being a dump from partition /dev/mtd8) can be mounted as ext3 filesystem. Not sure about others. IIRC Linux drivers are *.ko files. I hope this helps.

I have a device that looks like the image below and seems to have a lot of similarities as other devices : I will update this post with exact chipset info as I have it in another location. I wanted to contribute as after a LOT of digging and trying things, this forum has by far helped me the most!

Back of Device / Board Print all specify the "Q7" or "XT-Q7-V10". I have dug into these forums trying to match any print from the board or model and have found nothing so far.

Getting Perfect Playback on 1080p & 720p MKV :

Full Flash - K-R42 Hybrid Firmware (HFW) 3.2 by lewy20041 Firmware

Flash Kernel Only From - K-R42 firmware by wasser 1.2.3

As far as I can tell the 1.2.3 kernel from wasser has the stutter video fix - 1.2.4 does not

With these wifi / bluetooth / Blue Button do not work but USB / Wired Do

I have also dumped the original firmware from the box including kernel, which if flashed has all the drivers to make everything work, however, I loose the video stutter fix. I tried the patch the kernel with the rkpatchomatic which gave no errors and was successful. When flashed it did not boot though. I tried a couple times to make sure and had the same result every time.

I was wondering if someone here could possibly patch the kernel or build a kernel with the patch if all chipsets were specified.

I only got that ripped the rom minimeox7 but does not work or wifi or bluetooth


the original rom decompile, change the recovery and returned to compile, will not start


anyone knows how to put a recovery this official rom

Hey Miss, you have to restore with the original firmware above. Everything should work except xbmc will have a lag. I used the rkpatchomatic tool to patch the kernel and remove the frame skip. It will have to be unpacked though to get to the kernel. You can use RKtools to get at it. I am away from the location now. I'll try and upload it once have access.

Oh, you can flash that image with the tool in lewi's rom i believe. just select your downloaded image instead of his. I think wasser has the individual flash tool to flash individual partitions like kernel only or system only. Like I said though, you will have to unpack the image above with rktools to see the separate files.

it's built in a XBMC version,however,i test it, no good as beyond xbmc. still recommend to use Beyond xbmc on this q7 tv box.
