I used kernel_cpu1704h_gpustock_ddr720.img_quickflasher.z ip kernel, this is a mild overclock but it was a big improvement for me!

I installed the kernel mentioned above and it said installation was successful, but it doesn't seem any different. Is there anywhere to see if it was installed properly?

Yh mate.

You only can chack cpu speed fom antutu (in the detailed result) or with any overclock cpu apk.
Malí and DDR speed can be checked in dmesg, running:
su
dmesg>/sdcard/dmesg.txt
In your sdcard you will have a file called dmesg.txt, look at there and you find both Mali speed and ddr speed.

Thanks guys. Just got it installed. A bit finicky to get my PC to let me, but now that it's on, WELL worth it.
With 1800-798-720 kernel.

you must install ehomemediacenter.apk to make it work. it's in the rk apps pack.
