HardwareGuru Rom 04 - Firmware for Neo X7

I'm thinking of changing from Quickshot V2 rooted to this.

Is it possible or hard to do? Could some one pretty please post some sort of short tutorial with key-elements included.

I don't have much experience with changing roms / updating etc. Looking for the easiest method. I'm running Windows 8.1 currently on my main PC but I guess I could borrow a XP/win7 laptop somewhere if it's not possible to do otherwise or without using PC.

find "rkbatchtool" open the *.img and hit restore

Hey guru hope alls well your side of pond! maybe when your not too busy plugging holes in the x7 dyke you can build rom for mk902 with d33 new kernel from post 994 in kitkat for all thread

LOL Fyi. Thanks for the build because Karal posted new x5 that has kernel from minix and your rom and it fricking Rocks! Now i want same for the mk902, ill pull yours apart and swap kernel out and post what results i get.

cannot flash with rkbatch tool

Since i've installed the hwg rom, I cannot connect with PC anymore (after reset) and restore / flash img with new rom. All I can see is an option menu to reboot to some different modes, reset to factory settings, etc, but there is no way I can get back the device connect to my PC (with otg cable). Anyone helP?

Good to see my rom here is still working out great
Luckaly i have more work then time.
So please forgive me for not beeing arround as much as i would like to be.

Just a sidenote...I have made some transulations for the new X8 firmware on request for minix too
We are working to make new firmwares for the entire minix collection wich will be finalized at the end of next week.

We then will release a "public edition" of the 005 for the X7 after that.
We try to get HLS fully supported, at the moment it will not allways work.
I will see what additional features will be included into the 005 public edition.

Hi Guru, not sure if you are able to test but what about the ds synology apps? for example the audio? The old Guru fw works but the audio app does not work at karels his fw.
If you cannot test ask me and I can do it.
