Since wifi seems to work in JB but not in KK, I would place the blame on the firmware. There must be something in settings that your particular wifi chip can't handle. We've already tried everything I can imagine...so if the solution is going back to 2.4...have at it. The whole point is to make your tablet better with a custom ROM...not worse.

I, for one, am having a GREAT experience running this ROM on my tablet. So results may very, depending on whether you have a lucky tablet or not.

I agree - this new ROM is great - it's like a new tablet! I never noticed WiFi problems on older ROMs, but chrome was extremely slow - I had to use a different browser. I'm wondering if there were underlying problems but that they manifested themselves differently. Maybe when chrome was locking up there were actually WiFi problems!
I think I'll wait a while to see what comes out from pipo and see if a later release stabilises things. If not, I might have a look inside!

Hi Riley, just update my m7pro from 2.3 to this 2.7 KitKat version.
One problem is the vold.fstab is missing now, so I unable to swap SDcard and NAND...
Found this thread reply maybe can resolve it, but I'm newbie don't know how to make it.
Can you help me? So I can replace 64GB sdcard to 10GB NAND storage...

KK2.7 is smooth , sound and colour tone is change and great... cool..!!

but my camera m7_Pro_3G... is freeze
Display is freeze but it can shoot.. T_T!

There is an issue with KitKat camera on Pipo or possibly all rockchip tablets.
Apps using camera such as barcode scanners etc. are not working and have just still picture.
The camera itself works fine for me.
Has anyone heard about this and how to sort it out?

Same problem here. Discovered a little trick on how to make it work on barcode/qr scanners and other cam apps by switching rear cam to front then back to rear again. It's annoying but it works.

now i have some problem for this Rom

3G signal is very weak...
ori rom from factory = RR2.3 = RR2.4 => normal , level = 1 to 4
RR2.7 KK => Level 1 alway. T_T!

but this rom is smoother than other rom.

I think, this is only because of the different library file. It shouldn't affect the real signal strength, only the status bar. If you check the signal with a tool like network signal info, you'll see that the signal strength is the same with the other lib.file which shows you correct signal in the upper status bar

I don't Know any way to solve this, except changing the rk29dataonly.so into the stock one posted somewhere here. But then your tab won't enter deep sleep anymore

My GPS is still VERY weak.. 0-1 sattelites and never a fix

I have tried several things.. like replacing the gps.conf file, changing the antenna cable, even tried a (chinease) iPad GPS antenna.. Nothing...

and the 3G signal is also very weak

My GPS seems to not be working. It says it is on, but no satelite is detected.

GPS of my PIPO_m7 is normal, it can detedt sattlelites qty = 9-10
so i do not have any comment.
