Yeah, I've tried her via both via email and skype, where she has accept my contact request but has not replied.

I'm trying again now that she should be working (9am china time).

    Anyone else I can try?

About micro sd cards: I can confirm that 64gb Samsung works very well in my T9.

@grendude: maybe your sim adapter has broken something into the slot... or perhaps, if the adapter is slightly thicker than standard, there is a chance that the card miss the right electrical connections.
Try with a full size sim card if you can get one from a friend.
I doubt the adapter has broken anything, I've used it before... but anything is possible. Sadly, I don't have a full sized sim and wonder who does since micro sims came out in ~2003 and nano in ~2012.

It'll be interesting to see what happens first:
        - Pipo / Anna @ Pipo gets back to me
        or
        - I get a full sized sim

In the worst case scenario ... Does anyone have any experience with Pipo's service (repairs / replacements)?

Thanks everyone for your help and insight. Pushing my stuck micro SDXC card in, and hoping for it to be ejected didn't seem to be getting me anywhere. Eventually, my WIFE was able to pull the card out.

I expect to buy a microSDHC memory card and try it. I am a little scared it too will get stuck, or that I may have damaged my slot so that memory cards will not work.

I think the SDXC card should be OK as long as you press it down flat when inserting it. I checked wikipedia, and the micro SDXC package is identical to the SDHC package externally. Same shape, same electrical contacts. That means it should fit the slot properly.

I have a 64GB SDXC arriving Friday so I will test it then, but I fully expect it to work.

@doctorwho: Thanks for confirming that your 64GB drive works. Did you also try out the MHL? It would be useful to know that it also works.

@ytheleus: Sadly, my MHL adapter won't work. It is certified for Samsung phones, maybe there's other standards but I don't know much about it. Luckily enough, I'm not so interested in that function.

Sorry to hear that. You want the five pin variety of MHL adapter. Samsung, for some reason, use their own eleven pin adapters.

I found another oddity. To get a wired headset (Xiaomi Piston 2) to work on my T9 (ie with microphone and volume/pause/answer call/suspend buttons working), I had to get an 'uldum' 3.5mm adapter, so if anyone tries out a wired headset that seems not to work properly, it may be worth trying one.

@ytheleus: yes, my bad, I didn't know that there are two MHL standards. However perhaps a friend of mine can borrow me one 5 pin mhl cable, so I will report you about that.

Can you explain "uldum adapter" better? I never heard of that. Maybe 4 poles instead of 3?

EDIT: Ok I found that. Two poles of 4 are crossed. I could try to solder an adapter myself, just in case I need it. Well done, thanks for the information!

Yes, 'International' Standard is (starting from the plug tip) Left/Right/Ground/Microphone
                    But 'Non International' is L/R/M/G
So wired headsets (not headphones, not bluetooth headsets, which aren't affected) need to be either the same wiring standard as the phone/tab, or use an adapter. The button controls are carried on the mic line I believe.

A quick web search for 'uldum 3.5mm adapter' or 'CTIA OMTP adapter' should turn one up for a few dollars if you need one. Maybe someone will find the information useful.

I wish companies would stick to one standard. It's a pain in the behind. I nearly threw the headset away because I thought it was broken.

Au contraire! Headphones are affected too. My Samsung ones sounds very "empty" and I can hear a bip popped noise in the background, because of lack of proper grounding.

OK, so poorly grounded headphones might be affected if they have a 4 section plug, for inline volume controls perhaps. Normal 3 section headphone plugs shouldn't be affected because the mic line will be grounded automatically.

If they are, get an adapter.

I bought a 32gb microSDHC card today. It is working fine. I have put it into the slot easily, and have taken it out a couple of times -- with no problems or issues. The new card works fine.

The 64gb card that got stuck had a (sticker?) label on the top, and an additional sticker on the bottom. The additional sticker, is not present on my new 32gb card. I believed this additional sticker caused my 64gb card to get stuck by making the card a little thicker, or maybe for an some type of projection to get hung up on in the Pipo T9.

I no longer have the bottom sticker, but think it might have had something to do with quality control. The 64gb card (Samsung brand) had been inserted and ejected several times previously in my Smartphone (a Samsung) with no problems. The first time I put the 64gb card into my Pipo T9 -- it got stuck.

@ytheleus and other interested in MHL matter: GOOD NEWS! With the right MHL cable (5 pin standard), HDMI works very well! It is even possible to set resolution between 1080 and 720p.

Thanks very much for the useful information, doctorwho.

Thanks also for the Framaroot suggestion. I rooted mine very easily without plugging into a PC. For anyone wanting to root, you run Framaroot twice. First time to execute the custom rooting script (third option) and press a button, then reboot, then the second time you can use it to install SU (first option). All done.
