    Good morning d33,

what's the best way to help you with testing? Could you please write a short how to?
I did a short test on rk3188t tv-box with ap6210 at post #103 ( took about one hour ). Is this kind of testing useful in any way?

    Can do a tests with RTL8188 TV-Box CX-921 (like UT1 and K-R42 old)
    , CX-919 TV Stick, T428 TV Stick with AP6330 and CX-921b TV-Box with AP6210.

For now I have KK Beta and your overide kernel and thats run like Hell, 19500 with AnTuTu 720p or 19000 1080p. I tweaked the Kernel with Overclockomatic to 1.6GHz and memory to 667MHz because 720 lag.
All run OK, WiFi, Sound, Video, Bluetooth... all is perfect.
So, What is the best final Rom, what is the best kernel for me ? I'm afraid to flash final KK and be disappointed
    Thanks for help

    THX.
    Oh I'm very mildly 'tweaking".

There are still big problems with the official ROM and without OS sources we struggle.

    22-26 are very similar.

It would be good to get feedback on every kernel build as I have only one test box.

    CX-921b TV-Box with AP6210 RK3188T ( quite the same hardware as T-R42 old i think )

Just installed KitKat_T010_AP6210_public_20140403 with your Kernel "kernel_AP6210_RK1000_Host_DUAL_2" on CX-921b TV-Box with AP6210 RK3188T, box has only HDMI and analog audio output, Box has no SPDIF.

    Results:
Fast boot, android is fast, feels good.
CPU-Z shows 312-1.61 GHz no lock to 1.4!
Antutu scored 19388!! Best score ever with 1080p kernel!

    ethernet - works, about 8-9 MB/s
    wifi - works
    bluetooth - works

    Display Settings HDMI:
    1080p 60 - works
    1080p 50 - works
    720p 60 - works
    720p 50 - works
    720x576p 50 - works
    720x480p 60 - works

After changing resolution there is a little pink line on the left
After reboot no pink line anymore
Screen scaling lost after reboot! Have to adjust it again!

Power Off - works, led turns off

    Sound Device Manger Shows:
    RK29_RK1000
    RK29_RK1000 5Point1Multichannel
    RK29_RK1000 PASSTHROUGH

Played with internal player/BS Player - HDMI audio test:
    RK29_RK1000 - on - no audio
    RK29_RK1000 5Point1Multichannel - no audio
RK29_RK1000 PASSTHROUGH on - no audio
No audio at all over hdmi!

Played with internal player/BS Player/internal - analog audio test direct from box:
    RK29_RK1000 - on - perfect!
RK29_RK1000 5Point1Multichannel - seems to work, but strange channels because of stereo output.
RK29_RK1000 PASSTHROUGH on - short noise, android auto mute i think.

Played with internal player/BS Player - Video playback test:
    1080p 24fps - perfect
    720p 24fps - perfect

    Beyond XBMC 12.4 Beta 3.4:
    System shows 1920x1080@60Gz - Full Screen ( about 70-80 fps )

    Analog audio - works

    1080p - about 15 fps, extrem stutter
    720p - perfect!

    GOTHAM XBMC 13 Beta 2:
    System shows 1920x1080@60Gz - Full Screen ( about 30 fps )

    Analog audio - works
doesn't matter if passthrough is selected

    1080p - perfect playback!!
    720p - perfect playback!!

    That's it for now.

So for CX921b AP6210 ( quite the same as T-R42 old i think ), we only need ;-)
    1. HDMI audio passthrough in XBMC Gotham
    2. Real 24p and 25p HDMI mode in android Display settings for 1080/720

    Keep on guys!!

    P.S.
tried with "kernel_AP6210-alt_RK1000_Host_DUAL_2.img" box will not boot!

tried with "kernel_MT7601_RK1000_Host_DUAL_2.img" box will boot, only ethernet works, no wifi or bt, analog audio works, still no hdmi audio or passthrough

tried with "kernel_AP6330_RK1000_Host_DUAL_2.img" box will boot, only ethernet works, no wifi or bt, analog audio works, still no hdmi audio or passthrough

    Hi d33

Does your v4 kernel work with this new KitKat ROM?
I've flashed so many roms, I don't want to flash unneccesary.

Why is this kernel so much bigger, changes?
What are the correct HDMI settings to use in the config file for all these TV Boxes with AV Out & RK1000 sound? Some use lcd0, some use lcd1, others both, dual display, no dual display? It's very confusing.

I have the MT7601 wifi patch for Android 4.2, maybe someone can merge it into radxa Android KitKat source or the beta or other Android KitKat source.
Since KitKat use wifi differently than Android 4.2 it's not very straight forward into merging it.
But I have seen in the KitKat sources, there is mention of using Android 4.2 wifi method instead of KitKat method.

KitKat Android Source Changes needed for MT7601U Wifi
Here is the patch - https://github.com/roondar/wiki-rock...BC20130620.zip
In /hardware/libhardware_legacy/wifi/Android.mk, you must change wifi.c(new KitKat 4.4 wifi file) to wifi.old since that is the same wifi file(wifi.c) as on Android 4.2(and the patch).
Don't know how to enable Android 4.2 wifi compatibility properly in those files.

In system/netd there are also 4 files that need to be changed but don't know how to make it more compatible with KitKat as it's for Jellybean, maybe search for MT7601 inside the patch files and copy those parts into the KitKat files?

If you open the libhardware_legacy.so(KitKat) file in a hex editor, you see lots of reference to Broadcom AP6210 references at the end of the file. If you open that file in the stock MT7601, EKB311B JB firmware, you see lots of references to Mediatek MT7601.

Anyone got my firmware booted on devices other than AP6210?
I have an EKB31B MT7601 wifi chip and use bootloader v2.08 and Finless bootlarge.img and MT7601 Test kernel from d33, it shows the Android bootlogo and then the Android homescreen for 1 second but then jumps back to the bootscreen in an infinite loop.
    Anyone who can help me?
    1. Bootloader needs to be 2.10 or above
    2. Do not use kernels 3.x or 2.x
    3. New boot.img is needed, don't use Bob's beta boot.img

    We are working on this.
