Love the fact it has the Xbmc launcher included as a choice on first boot.

Set up xbmc and now I have a proper multimedia player. Videos play smooth and a proper 1080p rom.

      Awsome.

      Thankyou Sam 😊
I am glad that you are happy with it, I was a bit worried that people would not be happy at the apks being deleted but it gives more available RAM as they are not loaded at the start

I have installed both roms with default kernels on two cx919ii sticks whithout problems , had them running for sevreal hours viewing movies and no overheating or rebooting issues.
Tested sevral movies mkv,avi,mp4 with BS PLAYER and they played smooth with no lagging even NETFLIX plays brilliant with these roms , ofcourse picture looks sharper and crispier with the true 1080p rom

Im using ethernet adapter so I cant say anything about wifi performans but these roms really rocks !!!

Thanks Sam for the best roms so far , I´m very impressed

First of all i would like to thabnk SAM321 for his work on this rom. It'highle appreciated by me although i have troubles with my stick

Ok, back on track.. I've tried several times to get my stick to be 'flashable' but to no avail. It really drives me crazy. Multiple cables, severl USB-ports, several PC's: no success. When i attach it it shows up in Windows with 2 drives (internal and sdcard) and i can put data on both disks so it works fine and is accessible. RKAndroidtool sees it also and says 'Found RKAndroid Mass Storage USB'.

When i press the 'Flash Rom'-button i get the message 'MSC Device can't do upgrade'. That's normal because it's not in the flashable state. When i the press the 'Reboot2Flash'-button i get the message 'Device can not do Flash Mode, because of no drive' and it stays available as normal USB-disks. Nothing happens.... I've then pressed the small reset-button on the side but then it doesn't get recognized at all... If i keep the reset-button pressed when booting it's found but as an unknown USB device with the following error in the properties of the device: "A request for the USB device descriptor has failed' and error-code 43. Manually searching for the drivers doesn't work.

Also installed the driver by using the driver-assistant that's floating around on freaktab and that also didn't help.

I'm stuck right now. Anyone any bright ideas? The other topic-readers: how did you flash?

                Very strange.

So I presume you have the cable plugged into the side(micro usb port) of the stick, then putting a paper clip or or something similar onto the small hole on the side of the device, holding it and at the same time plugging in the usb cable into your PC?

If you are seeing two drives than you are not in flash mode.

Sometimes the button you press in on the side can be a little bit hit and miss. The Best thing I've used is a paper clip, anything smaller will just slip and miss the button.

Make sure the button is pressing in properly.

                  Keep it pressed in.

Plug in the cable to your pc and use a usb 1 or two port(usb 3 can sometimes can be troublesome)

Wait a few seconds, you should hear the default sound when a device is connected . Release the paperclip.

You should see the icon in the bottom bar, will say unrecognized device.

Goto device manager and find that unrecognised device.

Update driver to the drivers that are in the drivers folder on Sams rom.

Let them install, you may get a few popups asking if you want to install the Rock chip drivers.

Once the drivers are installed you are good to go. Until you get to this stage you will be truly stuck when it comes to flashing.

Remove usb cable when you have drivers installed.

Start the Rktool in Sams rom folder

Paperclip pressed firmly into the side of your stick

                  Keep it pressed

                  Plug in cable

                  Wait a few seconds

You will see one of the boxes turn green, release clip

                  Erase idb

                  Flash Rom.

Success! Well... almost I've reinstalled W7 on an old laptop and started from scratch to give it a final last desperate attempt. And i've succeeded! I am now able to flash a CFW on my stick Again, thanks for all your help

I flashed the latest ROM from sam321 but i see artifacts when using Full HD (1920x1080 HDMI). 1280x720 is running smoothly. Any idea? Different kernel?

It would be possible to order the first post by inserting the modified rom? There is much confusion and it is hard to understand those who are good. Maybe by including the steps to root and install cfw.
                        Thanks

I think it may be a hardware problem. it is as if it is erased, . Any ideas?

are you sure that you are shutting the android stick down properly by using the button on the home screen as sometimes that can happen by just removing the power. another thing that can cause it is overclocking the RAM too much. They are the only two things that I can think of, that could cause the problem although there could be others that I am not aware of

Hi SAM312 thanks for the prompt reply. I have have found the problem. is a coil that has been broken. it may be the heat. I will change the coil and put a bigger heatsink on both sides of the PCB

I agree it has got a bit confusing, I think it is time for a new thread, with an explanation on how to flash, with new and old ROMs in that work although I am not going to do it as people would be looking for support from me, it would not be right as I dont have the android stick any more, I would be unable to help. however if anyone else wants to do it feel free to use my ROMs that I have made, a mention would be nice, but not necessary
