Same issue than before with the others kernel in post 243, i have a black screen after boot logo

the ones in post #243 will not work for you, quite simply your chip will not go that fast, luck of the draw I am afraid. I could build one at stock speed but what would be the point in that

Now the situation described in the post 248 suits me even if it is imperfect (good performance but no bluetooth, location and does not have the ethernet drivers)

However I remain attentive if you want me to do other tests.

kristoma. you could test this kernel I set the CPU at 1.4Ghz it should work for you. https://www.dropbox.com/s/w60k0l2fqo...ernel.zip?dl=0

There are two main reason my kernel builds don't boot on peoples boxes/sticks:

          1. The vendor supplied power supply is crap - solution: try a better quality 2A power supply.
          2. The RK3188T SoC suffers from poor PLL clock stability and leakage, to address this special overrides were put in stock code to limit the CPU and to switch to using the lower frequency GPLL clock. My code reverts these changes, removing the limit to CPU and uses PLL clock for GPU and DRAM. Solution: Build a 'special' kernel that either lowers the CPU speed or uses GPLL clock for GPU/DRAM.

Thank you D33 for explaining it to everybody else, I wanted to say something like that but I thought better of the idea as I thought I was too close to the project, I did not want it to seem like I was making Excuses for a bad job

I after trying many combinations, the best is d33 Kernel + ROM sam321. Very good job guys !! but I have 2 problems
1 Which does not work well, joystick center gold.

2 ir does not recognize my USB to ethernet cable, would you be so kind as to review it? thank you very much.

For my device, the kernel of post #258 + sam321 rom seems to work fine and to be stable. No probleme with wifi and bluetooth. Thanks you very much for your work.

Sam321 may I ask you to compile a new version of the kernel with the fdti vcp driver support?
In fact I want to use my stick for a domotic server. My domotic RF module is connected by usb and need the fdti vcp support.
The following pdf explain the options that need to be selected before compilation.

If you have time, it will realy help me,
                Many thanks in advance,

Sorry jbou I did mean to do that in the last build. If Sam doesn't do it first I'll add it tonight

I have detected another Bug. only recognizes 1GB of RAM and hardware has 2Gb

Unlikely a bug. Many sticks are just 1gb and stock ROMs are frigged to report 2gb

Well, I tested with the kernel of the post 242 this time connected to power (I might have stayed on port OTG last time)

This works fine without reboot this time between 22000 and 23000 for AnTuTu, ethernet, wifi and bluetooth works perfectly.

I will continue my tests with others kernel.

Another big thank you to SAM321 and D33 !!!

                          Another issue

I have found that some kernel use dynamic operation on the frequency of the CPU

iddle at 300MHz and some levels even 1400MHz in full use for example

Is it possible with this kernel to avoid the useless consumption / heat / premature wear ?

                          nb: sorry for google translate

It was too good to be true.

My SONY TV can not display the HDMI signal.

The stick boot properly on the monitor. I set the display on one of the choices. (Don't remember exactly, maybe 1366*768 or 1280*720 or 720*480)
I unplug the HDMI only for the switch to the TV> black screen.
I reboot my TV > black screen
I reboot the stick on my TV (black screen) I expected the boot ends
I unplug the HDMI switch for the monitor> display is done correctly.

It is therefore not boot issue but signal / resolution / detection HDMI I think.

                            If someone can help?

                            Screen resolution (pixels) 1366 x 768

                            480p YES
                            576p YES
                            1080i YES
                            720p YES

NB : some others ROM works on my TV like this one on post 102 : http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post228965
