What is the format of your micro SD? You can try formatting it as NTFS and see if the problem persists on 2.5.
Yes this is bootanimation.zip. To the SD card I'm not with version 2.5.3 but back with Version 2.4. I know they are with and have the same problem I will pass their information.

      Here you go:

With a rooted explorer app, go to system/media and cut/paste the current bootanimation.zip somewhere (external SD is a good place). Don't just delete it.

Rename this file bootanimation.zip and copy it to the system/media folder. Set read/write/execute permissions.

      It should appear on reboot.

As far as camera goes, I think other people have had problems with the default camera app. Try using one of the free camera apps from Google Play Store and see if one of them will work.
Hello, I tried a few of the camera apps and tey fail just a sthe stock camera app. Maybe its because I have the older generation M9 Mx. All was working ok on RileyRom 1.6

On the 2.5.3 I notice some slow ups and launcher crashes from time to time. Any suggestion to which version before 2.5.3 I could try reverting back to?

            Hello there,

I installed the new 2.5.3. I formatted the MicroSD card on my tablet with version 2.5.3 on PC then format ntfs and I still have the problem. I read on a forum French there was one who had the same problem as me but he resolved it by checking the first box, which I also did but still the problem except the first reboot.

I think I'll wait for another updates.

            thank you

Don't forget that the micro SD card should be unmounted and removed before any flashing. You can unmount it in the Settings, then remove it from the tablet.

You think it comes from there. For it is true that I have not disassembled before.

                  Give it a try.
i.e. umount the card, remove it (need something small to push down on the card, to make it pop up), re-flash the ROM again.
Wait for the tablet to re-boot and settle down.
If everything appears to work, then install the SD card and re-format it (NTFS).
                  Good luck.

What I was trying to say was leave the micro SD card out until you get the tablet operating normally.
Have you tried to re-flash the tablet using the default settings in the ROM_Flash_Tool_147?

Also be 100% certain that the ROM matches the tablet.
My wife has a Pipo Max-M9 Pro. The first time I tried to flash it I used a RileyROM for a Pipo M9 Pro. I thought I had bricked it. However, once I realised my mistake, I re-flashed with the correct RileyROM and all was good.

You will find a lot of warnings in threads that Randy Riley has started regarding correct procedure, unbricking tablets, etc. I don't think you have bricked the tablet. Just go back to basics. Follow the Beginners Instructions.
                      Good Luck.

                        Hello there,

I removed the Micro SD, I flashed 2.5.3 with ROM_Flash_Tool_137. I made a ERASE ID, if I'm not mistaken, then Flash Rom. I waited until everything is installed and operational. Once the android tablet I could put my Micro SD. The it is detected but if I tin my tablet then starts again once arrived android is no longer detected.

My tablet is the Max-M9, not the Pro. I have taken the first rom post.

With version 2.4 I do not have the problem. I did not start in the root tablet.

It is a pity that I can not make it work with V2.5.3 for my Pipo is faster at startup.

                        Thank you

I'm not too sure what is going on.
I think you need someone better than me to help you.

                          Can anyone help?

What are the differences between the latest version and 2.4 (if there are no real differences I don't want to replace the FW because the M9 belongs to my mother and she'll be annoyed if she loses her games)? Most importantly, has the issue with the slow internal storage been fixed (the Chrome browser is practically unusable, showing ANR dialogs all the time and sometimes ANRs show when switching between apps).
