CS968 MTK KITKAT ROM 4.4 - Finally
I have now tested a LOT of combinations of ROM and XBMC, and IMHO there is no difference between stock ROM and Custom ROM like Tech1:s and different versions and variants of XMBC (Z, Beyond, flumpsters) in combination. The quality in XMBC and in Android screens are not better or faster or higher resolution.
I am now on kitkat 20140504 stockrom and official XBMC Gotham ARM and it works and looks like any other combination. So what is the deal with all theese custom variants of everything?

Even my lady friend can outright see the difference in a 720p resolution TV with my custom ROM builds, than with a 1080p resolution TV ... That's how I test all my custom ROM builds ...!
So I know better, and a lot of other people can see the difference too ...
Now whatever you are trying to do with the two XBMC versions, I have no ideal ...!

No meaning to offend you or anyone else, but I think it's my duty to report my experience here, and I must honestly say that I can't notice any difference in Android home screen as you have as an example in the beginning in you thread. The only thing is the Nexus screen in the beginning in boot up and splash screen is different, weather widget etc.
Regarding the resolution I cant see any improvement, sorry. Might be my TV?
What have you actually done to improve the resolution?

Well, I think there is thread that compile stockrom for cs968. If you see my first post, I got it from official site of CS968 manufacturer. I started this thread because in the past, CS968-M doesn't have support as fast as CS968-A regarding firmware updates for stock rom let alone custom rom. Since cs968-a rebranded as cloudnet go devices, there for their support is well maintain, they even have 1080p kernel. So I help my fellow cs968-m user to know any updates and info regarding the development of cs968-m, firmware.
It's chuangsiqi (CS) manufacturer from china if i not mistaken. here is the link for both cs968-m and cs968-a.

See The Difference
My Custom 4.4 KitKat ROM Build On The Bottom Top Photo Is On A 1080p TV Screen ... My Custom 4.4 KitKat ROM Build In Lower Photo With Icons Is On A 720p TV ... This Is How I Test All My Custom ROM Builds {I believe Even Stevie Wonder Can See The Difference}

Okej, I'll do a blind test with my friends and if they can tell the difference between the ROM:s you have convinced me, i'll report the results tomorrow. It would be more serious if you write on a higher level what you actually do to improve the resolution. I am sorry to doubt your skills but I have done some serious testing and found nothing that convince me that you actually done something other than changed the splash screen and added some apps, in the way I use the box.

Guy, thanks, but no thanks, you don't have to do any testing for me, we already know the read deal ... As far as me telling you what I have done to enhance my ROM builds, that's a trade secret between me and my good friend Mr. Sammy ... He told me not to tell anybody our trade secrets ...(lol)
Just keep looking at the above photos and you will see the difference one day .... Like one well know member of this forum said, I see why your ROM builds are called "Ultra HiDef". take care guy ...!

I am happy for you guy, but i think that your secret is just what it is, a secret...Pictures is pictures, live is live...I don't
see your work in this ROM, i am sorry...
I am running om the newest ROM 20140504 and no one can tell the difference between that ROM and your. I have now done some test with several people an no one can see the difference that you and your girlfriend can see?
Strange?

Everybody can see the difference in the above photos but you, mighty strange ...! Another thing, I don't have any problem with either XBMC version, because I did my homework ..! I believe you have gone to the exstream, you are player hating now, I have no more to say to you ...!

Kinda confused.
How's this feature supposed to work?
The box will automatically sleep when we turned the tv off?
One more thing,
I put an sdcard to my box. Every time I boot up the box, there's always a notification says "SDCard prepared" and can't be removed normally. Had to kill SystemUI to make it go away.
Anyone having this issue?Last edited by farhanito; 20 May 2014, 11:22.

No I was, but not now. I thought the start screen was little crappy " the nexus screen" otherwise i liked the ROM but i didn't experienced the crystal clear change from the factory ROM but I'd like to try this again if you can take away the Nexus screen at startup. Otherwise your ROM is fantastic with the work you done. Sorry if you were offended, THAT was not the purpose, please share a new custom ROM with me😄.

It does automatically turned-on from completely powered-off state (No LED).
I thought it will automatically awake from sleep state (Red LED), which apparently not.
