Minix X5 4.2.2 ROM with HLS streaming

This rom is based on the X7 mini stock 011.

I used the HLS patch from the HardwareGuru 5 roms.

The kernel used is from the X5 stock rom (006). Also stock boot.img, recovery.img and misc.img from stock are used.

I have tested the rom myself and all is working properly.

The result is a very stable rom! (haven't had any crashes so far. Antutu score 13732).

The "rkxx-remotectl.kl" is updated and support for xbox360 controllers is included. Also Airpin Pro 2.3.5 is in the rom.

The rom can be flashed with the flash tool included in the zip.

So if you're looking for a rom that support HLS/Smoothstreaming (used for many live streaming apps) why not try this rom. Or if you want a rom that has working miracast support.

INSTALL NOTES

After installation wait for about 5 minutes so that airpin can be installed.

720p stock (4.2.2_006) kernel, but you can replaced it with the 1080 stock kernel if you like.

just installed.
it does not boot normally.
just the android system recovery (3e)

Ok, lets try again. I have made a dump of my X5 (boot.img, kernel.img, recovery.img using the RK 2.1 tool), which you can flash with the Finless flasher tool.
I also dumped system.img and added the newest XBMCZ with passthrough and the latest Airpin Pro 2.3.5. I have bootloader 1.34 installed (that was included in the latest minix stock rom version 006). So if you have another bootloader you have to flash the new bootloader (included in the package). Also I recommend to first erase NAND and then flash the .img files.

The tool is included in the download (Finless). As far as I know you can't check the current version of the bootloader.

When opening the flash tool first click on Erase NAND, then select the bootloader file and check the box, then flash all including loader and all .img and parameter files.

Then after reboot wait for about 10 minutes (so that the added xbmc and airpin can be installed)
