finless 1.6 is built off the 104k4 rom yes im just waiting to hear if there are any issues using the -h with it

My -h is working fine the second day on finless 1.6 couldnt figure out any technical issues to stock rom till now

Launch Directly in XBMC

Does anyone know if there is any way to boot directly into XBMC on power up either with the stock launchers or another launcher? I'm using the current Finless 1.6 ROM on the S89-H.

Similarly I know if I put the S89-H in standby with XBMC launched on wakeup XBMC will remain loaded. Is it good practice to always leave the device in standby or should it be turned off nightly?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can set xbmc as a home launcher with a modified build.
In xbmc you can switch to the installed apps by... “programs-> Android Apps“

I'm testing it right now and it seems to work fine for me.
Although I'm not sure if it has something to do with my wake up issues...

I didn't install the Finless Rom for the H but I read that it has heating issues, anyone else has that problem??

I just received my Vega S89-H a couple days ago. Everything working great except a couple minor issues but I am having issues getting Plex Client to output DD and DTS to my HT. This feature works great via XBMC but not through Plex. Anyone have this issue? Please advise how to resolve this. I would really like to continue using this box.

Having exactly the same issue and can't seem solve this....

I had a similar issue, but not with plex. Make sure digital audio auto-detection is turned on. That corrected my problem of no Dolby Digital from my other video players.

At the moment only check if you already use stock rom 104k4...

You can also try Finless 1.6 , but it seams there is something different at -h and non -h stock roms and the Finless 1.6 base on the non -h stock rom, but it seams 'only' in heating (maybe 10°C more with Finless 1.6 instead of stock rom 104k4)...
