Wish List for MTK Tablet ROM's

This is the first time I've seen a locked boot partition in an MTK device. I will have to do some research on that. Unfortunately I don't have a Cube tablet to test.

Some functions of MTK Droid Tools are not compatible with 8752 cpu. It gives me that error for other CPU types, too.

Which app are you using to "overwrite" boot.img and recovery.img? Are you using the SPFlashtool?

Thanks for the custom rom...your work is greatly appreciated. I've only ever installed custom roms using safestrap o an older android device. I'm not really sure how to do it with this tablet.
Any advice or tips? Thanks again.

Alot of what's in that pdf doesn't apply to my tablet. I have it rooted but I can't get Titanium backup to use my external sdcard. when trying to select any folder on it, it says folder not writable. even in the shell the filesystem claims to be mounted read only I think they are making use of the selinux stuff available in kitkat. unfortunately Titanium also fails to backup anything claiming insufficient space. I'll try a backup app that uses cloud storage maybe.

If you already have it rooted, is it with SuperSU? That is the reason. I solved the Titanium write issue by using a different superuser. Titanium should work after you flash the ROM.

I tried flashing the rom only to end up with a bricked tablet. After launching the program, selecting the scatter file, clicking download and [lugging in my poered off tablet nothing happened, so I installed the pdanet drivers. that didn't help...after installing the pdanet drivers plugging in the tablet caused a driver loop where the pdanet drivers and the preloader driver chased each other around. No the tablet does nothing, it won't power up or charge.

Thanks for the effort. i try the v1.1.1 and is working fine probably nothing new on the one for my id.i will try to download again .how do I know it is not corrupted.

Sorry, I just discovered Freaktab was back up and running...and I've been re-learning the new layout.

The ROM dump you provided doesn't contain the scatter file. I can make a new system.ext4.img and a new boot.img which will provide most of the custom changes, but I need to have the scatter file to complete the ROM kit for flashing.

Also, whoever did this original firmware stuck the build.prop somewhere else and the symbolic link to it is broken. If you can provide a copy of the original build.prop, I might be able to make a custom ROM....but this one is more difficult than most.

firmware.info was actually present in the larger file I uploaded (full rom dump), I used MTK_rom_studio to convert it to scatter file (found out that PDA net can also do it, but MTK_rom studio doesn't require installation
when I search "build.prop" in Total Commander before I copy it on SD card, it shows in the following way:
build.prop -> /custpack/build.prop
(don't know whether it's relevant to you, as it copies just normally)
