We actually need the whole ROM dump...which includes EBR files and all three...boot.img, recovery.img and system.img.

If you have a rooted device, the best way to do a ROM dump is with MTKDroidTools. Zip the entire output and provide a link to it.

There r lot of ported cm12.1 roms for mt6582 i can linkthem to ths post as he kernel my tab is running is te same of the ported roms example gionee m2 i tried porting but it did not bootup cause its a hone and mine is a tab maybe resolution so i have linked u to my factory rom iam using v11 which is the best pls port cm12.1 mtk 6582 to this tab i am rooted and custom recovery installed on philz touch recovery so ready to fash if u port

Hi rrileypm!! I need a custom firmware ported from teclast p98 to my teclast t98. The tablets are almost the same with MTK8752 chipset. Same hardware except that my tablet has more sensors.

I dont know if this is helpful but u cant port lolipop to kitkat
Only one way is that if u have kiktak keenel version 3.4.67 then u can port cm12.1 to ur tab if any one has ported to ur soc
Mine is mtk8382 false real mtk 6582 so there r lot of mtk6582 cm12.1 roms around to port tablets r legacy devices so porting is hard and there r no ported tablet roms available to port or use as base so was trying to port mtk 6582 rom to my device if this gets booted up on my mtk 8382 false u can easily port it to ur device
But till now i was unsucessful so asked rriley pm to port
Mee too tryin on my part but stops at boot logo will go on tryin

U can only have custom or themed rom of ur device of same soc no cm12.1 fr u

Ok. So my soc on my teclast t98(KitKat) is mtk8752 the same that teclast p98 (lollipop) soc. Also I have to say that mtk8752 is almost the same that mtk6752. Any chance for porting it?

Use mtk droid tools see if its fake8752 real6752 u will come to know the soc

The only thing you can do is wait for a KK version for your tablet to be released by Teclast. While you state the only difference is the number of sensors....let me tell you...these Chinese factories don't mention that they use many other different components between models. Porting MTK firmware between different devices is way too risky.
