I can't be absolutely sure about live 2 minutes after post this, daemonium had your same problem, and he solved it changing the cable, I don't have your same TV, nor your exact same x7, and I cant reproduce this problem, it sounds to me like loosing HDMI connection and awakening.


like daemonium said for me it is caused for use low quality hdmi cables. He had your same problem and he resolved it using a best quality cable.

Live streaming apps are super now with hls. But the rtl telekids is still very low resolution.

Sorry a lot, but there are problems with some apps in all my devices, phone, tablets, TV box, but we can't test all apps are working is impossible. I never used Hulu plus (I suppose you are referring it), is an paid app? Need subscription? Does it work in all countries?

People should be advice apk are not all tune for kitkat, lot of them install but not running well. Usualy it's specified in apk résumé.

How to fix dark video playback

I finally made the jump from a mk808b to the Minix Neo X7 (QS3) and I am very happy with the box but video playback is too dark. I tried to look around for fixes before posting but I have not found any. Any help would be great.

That's a known and common problem. Is a matter of hardware. Try the app "screen adjuster", some people find it useful.

Try another hdmi cable, this issue is something we are digging into.

There's another method to do that but i personally didn't try it, my team mate litry did it and it worked for him.
Download the qs2 zip , the one is for flash from pc.
-Disconnect all
-Run RKAndroidTool included in the qs2 zip file
-Attach the usb-microusb cable to pc (usb side) and tvbox (microusb side)
-Attach the power cable
-Push and hold the reset button
-Push and hold the power button, don't release the power button until the end of the process
-When RkAndroidTool detects the tvbox you can release the RESET button, but still hold the power button
-Click on eraseIDB button
-Click on run , still holding the power button, and wait until the flash ends. When it's done you can release the power button.

I have several cables, the first one i was using was broken , i changed it to another one, a good quality one and it worked (and still it does). Lately i've been trying the low quality ones i have, but all of them have this issue. One of our theories is the low quality ones do bigger resistance than good quality ones so we have that shut off and shut on (sleep and awake). We are going to try a kernel with some values changed to try to avoid this. We hope it will work so you can go back to qs3 later
