    This week I will install QS3 and I will try the DAC immediately. For this reason, in previous posts I asked like going back to QS2... because on QS2 DAC HiFace works perfectly, both with music on USB HDD as TV's audio output.
    Just tried will talk if it works

      No sound

      I know this is probably a really dumb question, but I can't get any sound out of this rom. I am using this rom on my T428 and it looks awesome. However, I can NOT get any sound at all from this rom. I have installed numerous different roms on this device, and have never had this problem. I tried all the settings in the sound manager and used different video players. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? I tried reading all the pages on this thread, but perhaps I missed something.
      thanks

        24hz kernel suggestion

        Hi Leolas, I have a question can you check for me what color space is QS3 using in it's source I'm thinking from a few videos I've seen that it's using RGB444. RGB444 saturates the colors way more than it should for video. Can you replace it with YUV422 on this 24hz kernel your working on. Blu-Ray rips use color space YUV420 but current HDTV's can only play YUV422-444 and 422 is closer to 420. Here is an example of my Mele M9 source which shows it was using RGB444 and I only use that for roms and gaming now.

        .VIC = HDMI_1080p24,
        .color_prefer = COLOR_SPACE_RGB444,
        .color_depth = COLOR_24BIT,
        .bar_info = B_BAR_VERT_HORIZ,
        .repeat_time = NO_REPEAT,
        .aspect_ratio = TV_ASPECT_RATIO_16_9,
        .cc = CC_ITU709,
        .ss = SS_SCAN_UNDER,
        .sc = SC_SCALE_HORIZ_VERT,

              well, I don't have a T428, this rom is specifically for minix neo x7, so things like this can happen if you flash it on another device.
              if the hardware is exactly the same then i will suggest to try it on another tv, there's a issue of no sound on some tv.

                Ok, I will try on another tv. The T428 will run Mini X7 roms. BTW, this looks like a great rom, hope I can get the sound working.

                  Unfortunately I don't have the sources the only thing I know is that 1080p 24hz was enabled on my Mele m9 with RGB444.

                    Great ROM. Works very smooth. A few issues to point out. Google play music will only play one song and than freeze. Also I was unable to use the stock remote to type anything using the included xbmc. I updated to the standard xbmc 13.1 beta 2 and the controller works fine. Is there any advantage to using the included version of xbmc
                    ?

                      No extra advantages, you can install the xbmc version you want, simply uninstall the one that comes with the ROM and install a new one.

                        HDMI setup: minix tv box-hdmi cable-dvd reciver/amplifier - hdmi out-tv (dts and ac3 works via passthrough)
                        Reciver always must be Power On even when whant listen audio on TV only.

                        SPDIF setup: minix rv box - hdmi- TV and minix tv box-toslink optocal cable- dvd reciver/amplifier - 5.1 speakers (only dts works, ac3 rear left and right chanel are played on front only so no real suround. Better setup for me becouse no need to power on dvd reciver if whant use tv speakers only. Auto On tv box also supported. No use becouse ac3 no passthrough support like write on up.
                        O was tested rk & spdif (no passthrough) on audio menager and audio are played on both - Tv speakers and 5.1 home theatre system also.
                        Thanks, i have tried also your spdif setup, but for me doesnt work. I have to change sound output. I don't know if it is because my TV doesnt accept HDMI passtrough or because of my Yamaha rx-v463 doesnt read well spdif WITHOUT passtrough.

                        Anyone else ?

                          My setup for pasthrough is NEOX7 to TV using HDMI and Neo7 to my Sony amplifier using spdif.
                          In sound settings I have selected Rockchip spdif passthrough.

                          Works like a charm with mxplayer, and with the new libmedia.so by wasser in xbmc too.

                            Via HDMI video on the ROM is very dark... even at "max brightness".

                            Does anyone know why? Anyone got a fix? I have the 'screen adjuster' app, but it doesn't seem to help that well (the fix should be to raise brightness... but it's already at max).

                            I don't want to fiddle with my TV settings, since they are set properly for DTV.

                                uve connected ur neo x7 with hdmi-cable to your tv and also to your sony amplifier?
                                i thought hdmi is for video and audio oO
                                would the tv also play audio from the neo because of the hdmi-cable?
                                or did u connect ur neo to your tv with hdmi and from your tv to your sony amplifier?
                                when i connect my neox7 to my tv the tv plays the sound from the movie.
                                so i have to connect from my tv to my yamaha :P amplifier, but there passthrough doesnt work oO
                                maybe you can post a image or something to show me how u connect your system ?
                                I WANT PASSTHROUGH ^^
