I'm sorry if this is off topic but it is related to my earlier issue.

While trying to mount the NAS I accidentally changed the permissions of my network drive with Root Browser App!

    What happened :
    * I managed to mount the NAS
    * It wasn't letting me write files to the NAS so I thought I would have to change the permissions of the mount folder.
    * Using Root Browser App I accessed the permissions of the folder(the mounted NAS) and ticked the boxes for "set UID", "Set GID" and "Sticky".
I don't even know what those 3 boxes mean???
    * What a mistake! Now I cannot access the NAS from any machine on the network no matter what I do! In windows I get the error "You do not have permission to...."

Does anyone know a way to change those permissions back to normal? I don't have permission to access the drive so I can't change the permissions from windows advanced security settings

Listen Leolas, you maybe need the right XbmcZapp from Jmcm66, for what I know based on Gotham 13.1.b and uploaded on Minix forums under "How to get Ac3 and spdif..." thread

                It's a Seagate Central 2TB.
I can access it's webgui config but there are no options in there other than factory resetting. And no options related to permissions.

I know very little about Linux unfortunately but can download an Ubuntu live CD if need be to fix this.

According to the web the drive runs Linux with SSH enabled by default

                      Found this article http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/...e-network.html

The final post the guy ssh into the NAS and fix permissions. I have no idea how to ssh!
                      Please can you help.

                          Kind of funny.
I see alot of posts about passtrough xbmc.
This buildin xbmxz doenst even play 1080p fluid. Why not build a better one and then passtrough?

If you end up releasing another updated version of the included XBMC ... you may want to fix a minor spell error on the initial splash screen from "Nitroteam Edidion" to Nitroteam Edition"
