hi folks,
i updated from quickshot v2 to v3. now i have blinking / flickering problems with full hd at all refresh rates.
there was no problem with v2. how can i fix. i use the full hd kernel with standard rates.

Try another hdmi cable, this issue is something we are digging into.

Here's the file for smb shares automounting on boot. Edit to suit your needs, copy it to /system/etc/init.d and give permissions 755 (execute, read write, read write)

If you have problems with shares not being mounted, try to change:
busybox sleep 60
with a larger number (70,80,90).

Thanks very much ..I'd gone with the CPU1608, GPU 600, DDR720 so think I'm good to go.

Another question that I can't find answer to, once you've hidden the taskbar, how do you get it back?

One thing I have noticed is this rom is quite a bit faster..very snappy..loads fast and is very responsive.

It would be nice if there was some way to run AirPin Pro on our X7s which didn't involve changing the build.prop... But I understand that it is a paid app and you might be reluctant to modify it.

We will try to release a patch to modify build.prop.

Like others, I think the audio is a bit out of sync in included XBMC with 1080p files, looking forward to Beyond.

We are ansoosus for that too, the current xbmc was the best we tested.

It is a paid app but owners of X7s get free access to the Pro version according to Minix... therefore I thought that there might be some way to lock it to X7s but not based on the build.prop ?

That being said, is there any downside from changing model in build.prop from "TheNitroBox" to the X7's build number (can't remember it off the top of my head) ? Does it need to be set to "TheNitroBox" for some reason?

I actually have my build.prop set to a Samsung Galaxy s3 at the moment, since I need to do that to make a certain app work (an Australian PayTV app - FoxtelGO).

No need to keep thenitrobox in build.prop, we found funny to call the device in this way

Ah..that was the one thing I didn't try
With Q2 the F11 key unhid it. But now I see now that the power off button is missing from this KK - it's how I put the box to sleep. I'll have to see where that's hidden now ..thanks!

Power button was removed because we want people use petrus apk included with the ROM. A short press in the stock remote will do the trick and put the device under suspension.

Hey guys,

Is there any possibility to get audio out of both sources in this Rom?
I often listen to music when TV is turned off and mute the speakers while watching in Xbmc. Tried various settings but can't find a working one.

Yeah I already sent a message to HardwareGuru to ask what he changed in 4a but I don' think he's coming back anytime soon.

I see you tried this rom (4a) and tested HSL and it worked, maybe you can upload some of the files that are relevant for this for the Nitro Team and they can compare it ?

Are apps like NOS pre-installed (app maybe patched?) or did you get them from the app store ? (rom is patched)

NitroTeam, what files in Android are responsible for the HSL smoothstreaming? Benster could upload them to see if we can patch these files into Kitkat?

I hava npo app and foxsports nl downloaded from playstore.
Witch files to upload i dont know.
