    Mounting SMB share

Looks like I spoke too soon. With my NAS mounted the system is super laggy and slow, to the point of being unusable. When I remove the file from init.d and reboot it is fine.

    Is this expected bahaviour?
The NAS is connected to the router via lan cable and the X7 is connected via wireless N. The X7 is getting great transfer speeds, enough to play HD video smoothly. But it seems when the drive is mounted it cannot cope!

    Any advice?

Can you try the same with lan cable instead of using wireless?

Going in the hardware direction... On TV's and monitors with full picture adjustments available... you need to start by setting the picture, contrast and brightness settings up first.

You can get a set of test disks to help with this... download the ones appropriate to your needs on this site http://www.avsforum.com/t/948496/avs...p4-calibration ... I got the MP4 version since I was using an external hd as my video source... if you use a DVD/Blu Ray player... they have sources appropriate for those also.

Next follow the basic instructions found on this website http://lifehacker.com/5858625/how-to...inutes-or-less

If you TV or monitor doesn't have a full set of picture adjustments... then try using the software daemomium mentioned to fill in where it can.

One of our theories is the low quality ones do bigger resistance than good quality ones so we have that shut off and shut on (sleep and awake). We are going to try a kernel with some values changed to try to avoid this. We hope it will work so you can go back to qs3 later
thanks for your support. all cable work with 720 res. may be high res. is more sensitive. you are right, there are a view bad pixel with shut off and shut on (sleep and awake or resync). as soon as fixed i am back and will use this wonderful rom. thanks

Download the qs2 zip , the one is for flash from pc.
                    -Disconnect all
-Run RKAndroidTool included in the qs2 zip file
-Attach the usb-microusb cable to pc (usb side) and tvbox (microusb side)
                    -Attach the power cable
-Push and hold the reset button
-Push and hold the power button, don't release the power button until the end of the process
-When RkAndroidTool detects the tvbox you can release the RESET button, but still hold the power button
                    -Click on eraseIDB button
-Click on run , still holding the power button, and wait until the flash ends. When it's done you can release the power button.
                    Hope this helps.
Thanks for your reply, but this seems like a more complicated method.

Sorry, I can confirm (or refute) that I summed and which I repeat below?
                    Thanks.

I refer to the possibility of going back to KK JB:

The KK flashtool is perhaps RKDeviceManage.exe included in zipfile NeoX7-Windows-Flasher-QS3-en.rar ?

What is Jelly Bean flashtool ? I do not know because for install Quickshot v2 (JB), I used CWMrecovery directly from Minix.

Which tool should I use flash V2 please? Perhaps RKAndroidTool.exe contained in zip file QuickShot_V2.rar ??

                      Thanks.
On qs3 open the flashtool and only erase nand.
Then close the tool and open the tool found in quickshot v2.zip

Just press run and dont erase nand first
                      System will prompt fail.
Erase nand again because now its in maskrom mode.
After that again erase nand from v2
                      Then run in v2.

                      Done.

You now can flash normal again.

                        About hls streaming.
If any hls app streams live tv then the resolution is good.
When its a app like rtl xl (watch later app) the resolution is so dramatic thats its unuseable.
