Remember there are new partitions that need to be dumped. You will see them when you pull the parameter file with the tool. resource.img is a new one. Also uboot.img is a new one but on my HPH box this was blank (all 0's). But dump it anyway just in case.

Of note: these need to be dumped:
boot.img
kernel.img
misc.img
recovery.img
resource.img
system.img
uboot.img but probably not needed.

For some reason, I am having difficulty getting this box connected to the Androidtool V.2.3. I have installed the driver package Release driver assistant from Oman's posting, at least I think it installed. I connect the OTG port to my usb port on my computer. I depress the reset button inside the AV hole with a tooth pick, but it still shows no devices found. I have done this many times with my RK 3188 boxes. I am sure my problem is that the driver is not installing correctly. Any advice you can offer me?

Try installing quick boot from play store and rebooting to recovery/boot loader from there

I guess I don't understand your reply. I have removed the box from my tv and trying to connect the box to my Windows 7 64 bit computer using the otg cable, so I can dump my rom. Do you mean I have to have my box connected to the tv inorder to connect to my computer?

have you checked with a rk3188 device after the driver update?

FYI if you already have the 3188 drivers installed these work with the 3288 devices just fine. I just got a 3288 box and everything works like 3188 including the flash tools.

That was my thoughts, just to verify that the drivers are working with my other RK3188 box. Also, Finless said that the batch tool for rk3188 will work for the rk3288.

Update, connected my rk3188 box (TV01) to my computer and opened rockchip batch tool ver. 1.7 and depressed the reset button. Box connected correctly. Connected R89 box with otg port and depressed the reset button located inside the av hole. rockchip batch tool ver. 1.7 could not find device. I am assuming the reset button is inside the AV hole, since I can feel the "click".

As far as i know in cases like this one the greek custom office charge 5-10 euros (usually 5) as taxes the rest is clearence agent fee for DHL but in case you want to be 100% sure <<convict>> can contact DHL office in athens airport (tel 210 4062700) and ask them what exactly they charge sorry for the greek language
