I have talked with them at least 10 times and they won't decrease the fee. I am very frustrated. If I pay those 56 euro will you refund them to me? If not then I will have to leave it there or tell them to send it back. I am very sorry for this. Waiting for your reply

Pay taxes is something that people must do and most are agree with them, but some shipping company like dhl usually is abusing. I got some times the ticket from dhl with 5€ taxes and 25€ for duty administrative management of dhl, and the worst they didn't ask me about if I want to buy their management.
So when I buy something out of Europe I never choose dhl, if I got a sample, I pay and open dispute in my local customer office, for sure that dhl will pay back some of the money they charged, because they didn't charge the right amount.

I found this thread, have a look at it (specially at #1 , #14 - #18)
He had to pay tax ~8,50eur BUT dhl took ~21,00eur BECAUSE dhl missing the 'Shipping costs' at the declaration so they look at a list and it seams so that they took the 'Shipping costs' form Germany to China instead of China to Germany to calculate the tax... after a contradiction he get the too much paid back...

Because mine isn't arrived jet, I can't check if the 'Shipping costs' is declared or not but the only fee I found at the DHL express side is 2% paymentcharge (at 'Zahlungsaufschub')

BUT since Jun 2014 dhl take a new Fee called "Kapitalbereitstellungsprovision" of minimum 11,90 EUR or if higher the above 2% (have a look at post #21 at the fpv-community.de link)...

anyway ~35EUR seams to be too high (~12EUR + 11,90EUR)...

well, ask oman how much he paid to send the package via dhl express because it aint cheap... i think around 20-30€, not sure

i guess the problem is that it had no customs sticker or never even went throu customs
and oman already told us that dhl advised them to declare it at ~50€
and it stated "tv box" on the package

now my guess is that dhl took some random price of tv boxes to calculate the "einfuhrumsatzsteuer"
~124€ (19% = 23,56) (19% von 123.80€ sind 23,52€)

i paid 23,52€ einfuhrumsatzsteuer
and 11.90€ kapitalbereitstellungsprovision auf zoll und eust
= 35,42€

In Spain the only way to avoid paying taxes with DHL is to declare package as 20 US dollars max, if it's declared to 50 as I am reading, then you have to pay some taxes. European laws are that way, I think the maximum value that can be declared is 22 Euros.

I have received some samples from different companies sometimes, and I only had to pay when the declared value was higher than that 22 Euros. In other countries perhaps the situation is different.

Anyhow, if someone doesn't want their box, I would happily pay these taxes in order to get one (I think it's time for me to begin development in one of these boxes)

Now I gad a call by DHL (0341 / 4499 4466 (fax 0341 / 4499 4467)), that they want to have one kind of 'proof of payment' and I told them, that nothing like this exists, because it is an engineering prototype for beta-testing that I should get for 0 EUR and that the factory only declared it with 50USD because DHL China told them to do so... Know I should send them exactly this information via e-mail ([email protected]) and they will see what customs will do/say...

I talk to this really friendly guy and said him, that I also know 2 others at Germany which had paid 35 EUR which he also mean (like me) is too high...

BTW: I think one problem with the customs will be because of NOT Netxeon handle the shipping and declaration but "One Village Trading LTD" and the customs only see the "Trading" and ...

I now send an E-Mail to DHL where I explain that my contact was:
"SHENZHEN NETXEON TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD was established in 2010 in Shenzhen, China Futian, specializing in home entertainment equipment (DONGEL, BOX, remote control, game consoles, home cloud, one machine, MINPC) product definition, development, production and sales."

It was testers decision to use them we all agreed (Not Beelinks),just a shame that DHL services vary from country to country and there services are not the same either but there also diffrences in tax to.
