He guys,

New here, and i have to say: great work on qs, its majestic!
I have a small problem with 3.1, as hola and netflix do not work properly (cant find data, and after 5 refresh the wrong region shows up). As this did not happen in qs2, i wpuld like to test it in that rom, to see if it is qs or the hola update. Is there a way i can downgrade from 3.1 to qs2? And if so, how?

Hi. Thanks for the good work. I have the flickering issue and want to install a 1080p kernel patch. The rar contains many patches, I guess for different clock settings etc. Can you please add a small explanation on which one to choose in case you want just the standard settings as per the normal rom?

Do not install a patch, install a kernel ...

In post # 2 are specifically mentioned two categories of kernel for those who have flickering problems: 1080p and 720p. I solved the flickering with the specific kernels.

After deciding which category to use, you will need to choose the update method you prefer: quickflasher or quickshot. post # 3 explains how to use both methods.

Regard normal settings choose, cpu1600 ddr720 gpu600h.

For me qs 3.1 is more stable than qs 2.



I am using xbmc with spdif passthrough without problems. DTS and ac3 are working good for me.

What have you chosen in settings on you android device and in xbmc settings? .. no matter what I do I can't get surround sound.. it only shows stereo. I have a Sony receiver.

I'm extensively using this wonderful ROM after the HDMI flicker fixed kernel was released, and so far facing one major problem: my streaming-over-wifi became very unstable despite quite strong signal. Buffering happens a lot with IPTV apps and making them practically unusable. The same worked way better with 006c. I've even flashed FINLESS 1.9 to test it, and it also works much better there (FINLESS is unusable for me because of the same HDMI flickering bug, but that's another story ).
What may be the reason for that?
BTW: Finless 1.9 has some "TCP buffer increases" in changelog, may it be related?

Leolas stated he is using SPDIF passthrough for DTS and AC3. Does this rom work on HDMI passthrough also for DTS /AC3. I have yet to get my X7 to play anything on XBMC with surround soound.

I have an old Sony home cinema 5.1 with spdif input, in android settings/sound I have spdif passthrough selected, and in xbmc settings/sound (selecting expert option) enable passthrought select dts and ac3 capable receiver, and I see in my receiver dts or dolby signal, I can't post an screenshot now, so late in Spain, tomorrow I will upload them again.

I don't know, Bob use the same TCP buffer tweak, I learned it from him and so much things thanks to Bob from here

Video playback

I just flashed to 3.1 and am using the included xbmc but am getting choppy playback on some videos. Seems to happen more with live streams like ustvnow. Not sure if this is something related to the new rom or xbmc app itself and was wondering if anyone else experienced this and how resolved.

Streaming from the internet is unreliable and inconsistent. The only valid tests are with videos you have on your device an not ones across networks

Agreed but, I didn't have any issue on the previous build so I'm not sure what changed or what I may need to change to operate the same way. Is there something with the settings that could be causing this that anyone is aware of or experienced?

My internet is actually smoother and a little faster since the update... so besides the changing conditions you see on the internet with certain servers... that's all I can think of the could cause any change you may be seeing.

with 3.1 is included xbmcz 13.1, but if you updated from 3.0 to 3.1 then you have a older version, suggestion make a clean install of qs 3.1 from PC.
