ok, ill stick to Paragon for now, it works.

    Another issue found:

cant find a way to turn off the box via software (apps or widgets). They all just reboot the machine.

The physical remote control itself only puts the box on sleep (or simply kill the screen output), so the only way is to hold the button on the back of the case.
Even in that case tho, USBs are not actually turned off, since my HDisk wont turn off...
Not a good behavior for possibly a great torrent+mediaplayer box

Only the Neo X8 has power off capability!
This is because it also has a small battery keeping the clock alive and can respond to the remote.
These are hardware mods to support that. No other box has that yet.

If you want that, you need a X8 sorry...

        Question about the ROM

        Hi all,

Just new to the forum and signed up because of this thread.

I'm having some anoying issues with the stock 103k4 ROM on my Vega S89.
The device is totally stock and I just read some issues with temperatures using this ROM.
Kan I use this ROM with my stock Vega S89?

        Thanks in advance!

        Regards Loei

Ok for the hardware possibility to turn on/off, but what about the software one?
I just would like to turn off (red light) the box using the usual button widget/icon, that already works for all the other boxes.
Is there a software way to turn off, at this moment?

They do use NTFS-3g. The NTFS in kernel is disabled. Anyway, you would not want the kernel ntfs because its slow and and write is experimetal. From my research paragon is very fast and almost approaching native speeds. NTFS-3g write support is enabled in busybox (as far as I can recall) with the default being RO. This is probably to prevent inadvertant licensing issues. Because of this we will probably need to provide a patch to enable RW as beelink would not want this enabled by the stock FW and thus create possible licensien issues for themselves.

              Hi all,

does this rom also on the MBOX S82B Amlogic S802B?

I want to buy one, but only if the finless rom works on it.

              Thanks.

                May Brick Newer S89-H

First, thanks Finless (and Oman) for continuing to keep our boxes updated. You are awesome! To make a long story short, I was having a few nagging issues with my setup on the newer roms, so after working this through for about a week with various roms, I narrowed down to trying 1.6 to fix some of my issues with forcing resolution to 720p, quarter-sized screen after standby, as well as dropped mythfrontend packets

I installed 1.6, but it hung on the boot screen. After researching, I found this:

Please read through thread if you wish to try this rom. Hope this saves someone from the fun I am going through. Good thing is, thanks to this community and devs, I still have options.
