    What stock ROM are you using? Where did you get it.

    It's possible Arnova made some hardware changes on later versions and I am using an old stock ROM?


    And you sure this is not a 7B G3 e.g. one of the newer ones?

      Maybe it's not good to blame Bob's rom since it's just the problem of mine! But I hope he will understand the problem. Yes the stock rom is just a nightmare! Maybe I give up sound and install gingercomb anyway. Thank you.

        its actually not blaming...nobody in the world will blame bob coz he's a genius.. its like its for development purposes so he needs to get your feedback and see if he can come up with some solutions..

          It maybe the stock ROM he is using!

          It's not the first time Arnova made a hadrware change in the middle of the game and updated the ROM without telling anyone!!!!

          The ROM I used was the same stock ROM we got a while ago. It's possible Arnova updated it?

          On the Arnova web site thier 7B G2 ROm is still dated Dec 2011 but that does not mean a thing. It could be newer?

            I used the update.img available in the arnova website, there was no sound problem. Now I just flashed a cooked version of the stock rom (maybe the initial stock rom) with playstore and limited root access from archtablet forum, again there's no problem.

            No I'm sure this is 7b G2 capacitive 8gb. I provide you the box's image to make sure

              that might be the case bob,

              coz as far as i know, they just recently released the stock rom in the website so they might have also updated the hardware and the rom for it as well.. we dont know...but why would they release it on the website? that might crash the other tablets that doesnt have custom roms if its not compatible with the older hardware...

                I bet you they updated it without telling anyone.

                  No what they might have done is include drivers for both hardware! So it's very possible the ROM will work on both!

                        It's gotta be a different ROM than what I used. My 1.4 ROM I did nothing to it but root it and add google play and EXT4 file system. I doubt seriously that would break sound!

                        So only way to find out is cook a new one using Arnova's download as of today. Lets see what that does.

                              The kernel itself is newer for sure.

                              Arnova really ticks me off with this! The download on the wbe site says Dec 2011 - Initial release my rear end!
                              The date in the kernel is later than Dec 2011.

                                Seems Arnova considers the situation as a war with users or developers!!!

                                I flashed Gingercomb again, but this time I waited for about 15 mins and reset the device with a pinhole! OF course with the same problem like before!!! But I ain't returnin' to that piece of shit!!!
