        I dont have an sdcard. If you meant the internal storage, its working ok for me.. I copied 2 big movie files to the device without a problem.

            Wow after reading that logcat I still am not sure whats going on. Why all the SU calls? I am beginning to wonder if the lates SU binary is the problem. Also google MAPS may be hanging it as well.

            I am totally not sure but as was pointed out. After a ROM flash something is getting installed after that keeps it from shutting down.

            As for wirting to SDcard. I really don't think I changed anything here that would cause a problem?

              Ok, I made a new log dump. This time wifi was disabled and I removed linux installer which was responsible for the su calls.

                Interesting but I still do not see a damn thing causing the hang. How about letting the lgocat run a litle longer?

                Also it appears you installed sqlite3?

                  Yes in the background of shutting down caption, SU constantly requests permission for some app which is not visible.

                  I tried installing app injector apps one by one, but after three or four, Su started to crash. I wasn't able to open it, so I was forced to reflash the rom. it occurred for me previously, but I think if I disable its logging function, such a problem won't occur.

                  Update: I assume that some third party app may conflict with SU or anything else, because until now that I've installed 10 apps from appinjector and some other third party apps, I have not yet faced shutting down problem.

                  Update 2: I tried to install the apps that use SU permision. First I installed System Tuner Pro and allowed its permission but I found no problem. Then I installed BusyBox Free, allowed its permission and installed its packages. It was here when shut down function stopped working. The problem was not fixed when I denied and then uninstalled the two apps.

                  Update 3: I have to apologize for my false report about SD card problem. It was my SD card's problem. I checked the rom with two other cards and they were written pretty well.

                    k, will make one with longer waiting.

                    As for sqlite3, I'm very sure I did not install it manually. Maybe it is a dependency of some app I installed later?

                    Also I can send u the output of "ps", while the device is shutting down (and hanging), maybe you can find something there. I tried killing some processes manually, but apparently the ActivityManager restarts them.

                        I hope you'll have some good news man. I should mention that removing busybox didn't solve my problem.

                        Update: What would happen if the stock rom was prerooted? because in the system information of the stock rom, I found a "root" in the build number.

                          That doesnt mean it is rooted. All that means is the USER that built the ROM the user name was root. Many have this in build.prop as the user.

                          Updating busybox can be a big problem and always has been on the Arnova due to how they neutered the OS to keep all that hanky panky from going on. This is what my 2.2 ROM is about. Full busybox that is compatible with the OS and init.d support.

                          But I have to ask. Why are you guys wanting to install a new busybox? There is a busbox already in the ROM. All of them have this stock, it's just not a full blown version. So you are aware busybox is there. Or are you wanting the full blown one for some reason?

                            I use font changer to make my tablet more compatible with Persian fonts. This app needs busybox, whithout installing busybox, I'm not able to modify my fonts.

                              As I said busybox is in my ROM. Just the stock one. Did you try installing the fonts without trying to install a new busybox?
