OK the original ROM I have is dated Sept. 2011. This download says it was built in Dec 2011 BUT the kernel says Feb 2012. The Sept. ROM was not deodexed. This ROM is deodexed. Go figure.


I am sure this will fix your sound issues!

ROM is done and uploading soon. SHould be about 30 minutes or so.

NOW I tested this and FOR SURE DO NOT FLASH THIS WTH YOUR SDCard IN THE TABLET!

Arnova seems to have made some changes over what I was using. I got SDcard errors after first reboot. ALso again after ROM flash WAIT until the screen times out before rebooting!


Be right back when it is done uploading.

Hellfoot, you may want to use this new BETA2 ROM. It is a newer kernel and may fix some things.... Then again it maybe worse... Only you guys can tell me.

Yeah I got SD Card errors too with my rom in the first boot, but I thought it might because of having no SD card inserted.

You will get SDcard errors on first boot up. What I am talking about is I got them on the 2nd boot up! I left my SDcard in the tablet when I flashed this. Might have been just a fluke but becareful, I would hate to see people loose all thier files on the SDcard.

OK, I flashed the ROM, and, Gosh!, the sound works. Thank you soooooooooooooo much Bob, I don't think such a matter occured before that I got my problem solved less than 24 hours! - of course many other like me.

Now I'm going to install Fruit Ninja in which I first found the sound problem.

again, thanks for the great effort bob!...

but now, i don't know why but im getting the error message "The application Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." this happens when i activate my WIFI, so now, i can't connect to my Wifi at home.. this started when i tried to connect the tablet to the usb cable connecting to pc then i dont know but the tablet just froze and turned off by itself.. doesnt allow me to turn it on unless i remove the usb cable and turn it on there. actually this issue of turning off by itself after connecting to usb cable has been experience with previous 1.4 rom as well. this is the only time i reported it coz now it affected the wifi, compared to before it didnt.

so now i will download the new beta2 rom and see if it fixes it..but i hope i dont get the same issue i had with previous roms anymore...

The new beta works almost perfectly. Today when I woke up, I turn off the device, and when I turned it on, the display was reversed, I mean, I should touch the bottom to open the app drawer!. But I rebooted the tablet and everything became well again.

Another problem I found is with the battery icon; its empty, with no color but a question mark inside of it, and it does not work at all, it has remained on 23% from last night!

Oooops..... that darn battery icon again! I forgot to put my fix in for that in this BETA 2.

I cant test it but this "fix" has worked on all my other Arnova ROMs where the battery icon doesnt update.

I flashed system.img and the battery icon and status is fixed. Thank you very much Bob.

But I should warn that stock apps (installed from appinjector) will be gone after flashing and you should reinstall them, of course not a major problem.
