@Ichjoe I also feel that it's gone downhill for MX Player. I will try VLC Player ... I don't like XBMC so much. Even if they just strengthen the codecs with the 4K player that's fine. My old M3 still plays videos flawless that has 1 CPU core opposed to 4 CPU cores. If this keeps up I'm buying a Realtek device. 3D BD ISO support and hopefully no 24 HZ issues.

Whats wrong with XBMC? Yeah Ok I like Show Box over it for some things. But, XBMC can't be beaten... Yet when it comes to either Live TV, or Streaming Live TV. Plus unlike Show Box. it does have a metric [REDACTED]-ton of Addons that Show Box will never have. Whats more... XBMC is a heck of alot better on the M82 (MXIII), then Show Box ever was. And, this is before we take the MX Player into consideration.

I just wish I'd knew for sure that the 2G Version actually did "ac" or not... If it did, I'd probably ship my 1G off to my Lil' Sis, back in the US, and get that. Seems like only the really expensive jobies like the x8h *PLUS* only have that though.... :/

XBMC is fine but I just want plug and play ... Also they girlfriend doesn't like it 😄 I use Mizuu for my "visual" enjoyment and play via MX player for now. The s812 chips have a problem with hardware encoding for some manufactures so here we go again. Development starts from the beginning so lots of improvement areas again.

Since the last couple of Updates (Show Box), I have to agree the profomance is getting somewhat better.
Its not as great as I'd like it to be... Seeing as I have a fresh 50Meg VDSL Line that just had installed.
And, Live Video is also jumpy as Hell! (XBMC --- Specifically USTVNow -- specifically during US Football on Sundays!)
It could just be that the Stream is getting hammered HARD!

Or it could be that the MXIII wasn't tuned correctly at the Factory?!:
Issue Ethernet connection is slower than expected, and as a consequence if IPTV Streams are greater then >10Mbps then Video studders... (Sounds like "Jumpy Video" to me!)

I've tried, and applied these "Fixes" to two different MXIII's (Both of the 1G AP6181 Variety). The performance has seemed to improve... Somewhat USTVNow, doesn't lag nearly as much during the course of the Week as it had done.
As to whether or not it'll improve the quality of the Stream again on Sunday is something I'm still looking forward to seeing.

Going back to Show Box for a Second... I'd wish they'd update the blasted thing to allow me to Pause the Video, and pick it back up again after a time. Without it crashing back to the Menu Screen. Its very annoying when someone rings you up while your trying to watch a Film, or an Hour long Show.

Showbox real problem in video playback is its file choice.

Example... a tv episode for medium quality is 600megs (480p) and play letter boxed most of the time.
Yet the standard for 480p episode is 300megs and plays full screen with a better picture.

I have no idea why it does this since it makes no sense and needlessly chews up bandwidth for larger the needed lower quality files.

Thnx. But for some reason the file downloads as a java file that's not zipped. When I open it it tries to run java and fails. Do you have any idea what's going wrong in the download?

Wild guess its downloading fine you pc just trying to opening it as a java file.
Once its downloaded use winrar or 7zip to extract it to a folder.

Its actually downloading it as a rar file that's much smaller than the file that I'm trying to download. It doesn't give me the option to extract t files because it's not zipped. It looks like I'm only getting a partial download.

I tried downloading Stane1983's file. It does download but I get the K200 error. It looks like his recovery image file's corrupt.

Any thoughts on either download.

Downloads sites are fine checked both the issue not on that end so its either your isp or hardware on your end.

Also the most common reason for a k200 error is a missing dll in windows.

I had a look at the upload and download speed of the Wifi on the 108k4 stock release. Uploading and downloading of a file is usually at +- 860 kbps via ESFile explorer.

Signal strength shows excellent.

XBMC streams well on 480P and 720P. 1080P has some hiccups but that is to be expected. HDMI Pass through always have issues on these devices. Let me know if this is sufficient.

Thanks yeah I just wanted to know if finless rom has tweaks for wifi .. but it seems the same as omans

Supposedly the 110k4 are for the 2 since they just fox bluetooth .. but in reality my new mxiii 1gb are shipped with this 110k4 nov13 by oman
