Isn't the Tronsmart not a 2G/8G Device? AFAIK those have nothing to do with the 1G versions of the MXIII.
As far as Wireless Features go. I think they have the same CPU & GPUs though.

So the xbmc 13.4 is looking really good. first improvement i noticed is that livetv preview works with picture aligned to box without having to switch off amcodec. well done. Also I notice that now the return button will exit the movie as well.

1 thing im not sure about is the `press again to minimize` feature. this is not needed and its a bit of a pain ... so my question is how can i disable that pls ? can i edit the code ? if so where pls?

another thing i dont quite like is that now audio sampling rate is fixed and i cannot change the sampling rate. Although disabling this feature can prevent many people from using excessive sampling rates, this cld be a problem when trying to sync clocks between device & surround systems. pls note that audio sampling rate shld be set the same throughout the audio chain and when the clocks are not synced the sound servers can crash or be buggy in general.
can i edit the code somewhere to bring the sampling rate option back pls ?

Unable to setup manual DNS addresses on ethernet, when I click "Configure Ethernet Devices" click on static IP, I get the "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped" error.

Is there a work around for this?

dlangejc, have you solved this static IP issue? Can someone confirm this problem? Currently I'm on 109k4 and Ethernet connection with static IP, no problems so far. I'd like to upgrade to 111k4, but I need a static IP.

I have the round beelink M8 box. I successfully updated it to 111k4 (from 109) using the zip file. I found a problem.

If the box goes to standby mode (red light) using the IR remote control, "sometimes" I cannot wake it up again neither using IR remote nor pressing the power button at the back. I have to long press the power to completely switch off and reboot it. This happens only "sometimes", but already very frustrating .... Anybody got similar problem ? hope this can be fixed soon.

AFAIK: I haven't had any problems ever with jumpy IP Addy's ever. Beit on 109k4, 110k4 or now on 111k4. Though I have seemed to have misplaced the stock MAC Address of the Ethernet NIC. it changed from whatever it was to.. 00:11:22:33:44:55 (which oddly enough IS a valid MAC Address)., It has since changed again but, the MAC does not seem to be valid anymore. 46:3d:1b:xx:xx:xx. Thankfully unlike so many China-Phones I've ran into this Year. The MAC Address is, and has been ROCK SOLID! The upshot of which is I have no problems connecting to my Router. Which in turn deals with all the DHCP stuff. The crappy WiFI (65Mbs MAX!), on this thing also has a rock solid MAC Address, which unlike the Ethernet Port is still the same One it came with.

Unfortuantly I live in a Flat full of other 802.11 b/g/n Devices. Making it next to impossible to use here. Plus the fact that I get more bandwitdh though the 10/100TX Port. ~25MBs over 802.11n, as opposed to the ~48-ish MBs that I can pull though the 10/100TX Ethernet.

Note I only have the M82 (e.g. The 1G/8G Version), your S82 (2G/8G Version), may vary.

Hey guys the ones using oman 13.4 xbmc based on SPMC. Are you usig amlcodec? i still get drops and skips with AMLcodec but if i use libstagefrigh and mediacodec i get audio and video sync issues. I'm loading videos using nfs and my server box is right next to it, all ethernet wired. Before i had my 3tb hdd plugged in to the vega box with no problems but now i do.

what are your thoughts, setup using a media server / NAS?

I think the Radio on the M82 (1G/8G), MXIII w/the AP-6181 is a bit sh--!
First of all it lacks both BlueTooth, and any 5Ghz Band(s), a or n.
As an upshot of this I think this Version can only get as high as 65Mbs MAX.
Hell even my Four Year old Tablet can get up to 75Mbs. In fact the fastest Device I have is a Netbook that does 130Mbs.

So getting back to the MXIII I find that I'm only able to use about the half of my Bandwidth ~ca. 25MBs as opposed to the 51MBs that I have at my disposal. So I get about 47~48MBs over the Ethernet Port.
Since those Numbers are concrete enough for me. I kinda gave WiFi up on this Device.

What's actually disappointing to me is the lack of GigE on these Devices.
I mean here we are entering 2015, and Base 10/100TX is still a thing!!

Check wipe data select zip from the sd card and click update (you of course need the three files from the download on the sd card).

Grab beer or drink of choice and wait tell it done 5-10 min.

To be honest I haven't given that as much as a fair shake on 111k4 yet.

On prior versions... Specifically 109k4. I was only scoring ~25MBs over WiFi on a 51MBs Connection, where as over the 10/100TX Ethernet Port it is more like a reasonable 47~49MBs.
Yes I am aware of such things as Overhead, and that its almost impossible to expect the full speed on ADSL.
No doubt theres probably some room to tweak it MTU up a bit, but, that's still One heck of a wack on the WiFi.
For this reason alone I've forsook it, laid down some CAT-5e ~15m worth of it, and never bothered to look back.

I don't know if the 65Mbps cap on the AP-6181 is whats to blame here.
But, I would have been at least expecting 130Mbps as the lowest speed and, more reasonably in +300Mbps range.
It seems that the AP-6181 is at least in this respect unable to deliver.
I think I shall probably give this MXIII to my Lil' Sis. and, get me the Minix NEO X8-H Plus.
Which I gather has all the "Bells & Whistles" that I'm looking for.
Specifically GigE, BlueTooth and, 802.11 a/ac/n @ in the little used 5Ghz space!
