libamadec_omx_api.so might be it!
dec usually means decoder and this might be the main API players use.

Sorry I am just not up on how codecs are setup in this ROM.

Found a few others video drivers and codecs in the sys/module folder but now its getting tricky with all of the locations.
I have backed up my build prop as well to ensure that the device is spoofed correctly ...
I'll do some more looking around and and later give it a go and report back.

Yeah I know, just a lot of dependencies to take into consideration prior to starting. I don't think we will see the end result too quick as it gets rather technical. I'll go read up a bit test and let you know how it goes 😄

another 110k4 firmware release... what???

Ok guys… here we go, a start of a mess of firmwares. Look what just came out 1 hour ago.

yes it is another 110k4 update, but this time ending with a 533???
Oh…. But wait, this is not all. There was a 110k4 update on November 18^th

So which one is the one we should follow for 1GB MXIII with AP6181 module??? And what is this newer one supposed to do, and what is the 533 all about?

110k4 was merely a bluetooth update so are they merely reposts of the same firmware again or does this 110k have something more going on with it.

After a quick look the new ones for the 1gddr and the nov 18 is for the 2gddr models so this just slow posting on their part.

I am blocked at work but will check after work. I also think its maybe slow posting but need to look at the rom to confirm.

Oh BTW ... I soft bricked my box with copying some of those media codecs from the older firmware. Managed to revive it via the OTG port. Here is the thing ... some older codecs work better for some and different for others. If we undertood the codecs better and establish which are needed for what functionality I will give it another bash ... until then .. I'm back on 107K4 for Netflix and use MX Player due to the crappy video codec support of external hard drive videos.

I don't use netflix so thats not a issues for me.
The codecs are very out of date and patched in a way that's nuts so they need massive overhauling to fix these issues and get thing to present day standards.

I wish to test Netflix on this rom.

Had stability issues with it but once i re-flashed they went away go figure...lol

Partition Layout

If I flash new FW does it overwrite MMC mmcbblk Partition Layout in the same time or it stays the same?

Hope oman will update the rom in future..... Seems noone is fixing anymore on the amlogic chipset here...... I see minix devs are going forward..... So i hope for some updates here soon

It seems Minix is pushing AML to have better SDK. I'm sure we could see benefits ;-)
But less informations by Oman..it's true... maybe he works on others projects.

i dont think that there will be updates for this box.
because beelink released an rk3288 box.
oman is supporting this box and doing new firmwares for this box.

i think only new boxes are pushed...
