All Intel based TV boxes will stream Netflix in HD as it's essentially a PC ....
    It doesn't matter if it's a Beelink, Pipo or Z64 [emoji12]

Yeah that's still light years better then where I was with my old Linux HTPC @450W+. But, that things a downright Pig. When the MXIII can do the same functions (With or, without the DRM), with only half of that.

Then oh yeah (Here we go...), I'm the kind of Person that would like to see both Intel, and MicroSoft get taken down quite a few Pegs. I certainly am not looking for any Windows 8.x Box, and as to Intel on Android. Well I'd really have to play with it to draw any lasting conclusion. I feel that it would be riddled with incompatibilities with most of that World living on Planet ARM though, and so only loath to actually want an Intel SoC for Android.

If you really want to go Intel.... Why not suggest something with a bit more pizazz? Like the Intel NUC? Which One presumes can run just about everything from WinXP straight though to OSX (Hackentosh), and your choice of Linux? Unlike the Above Examples you can add up to 8Gbs of DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM, and your own 2.5" HDD (Think Linux VDR, Or OpenELEC w/TVHeadend), and have a very simple compact PVR System that blows less then >70W of Leccy? A seemingly nicer trade off for the HDD me thinks. Thanks to having (at least a spare Mini PCIe Slot), you could even add a TV Card (ATSC / DVB-C/ S(2) / T(2)) inside of it for Live TV. All for largely about the same cost as the Pipo ~200$(USD) Assuming that you already have a few Bobs & Ends lying 'round. (i.e. RAM & HDDs).

As One of the reviewers about about the Pipo X7 had suggested about that Device it could (Or in the case of the NUC), would be the perfect Desktop Replacement... If your not, a Gamer, and I'm not..
Well kinda sorta but the route you suggest is flawed with windows 8 going to 10 as main point of windows getting into this now and windows costs 200 bucks (10 free for bit but only on an upgrade point) so that system would be about 500 when completed with drive and ram so not very affordable better to just get a cheap lap top and throw on linux. no? add tv card and memory and drive why not just build a gaming machine for just under 800???

Rockchip piss poor platform and wont release its code for development of linux drivers so its doomed to fail. add on top they have china manufacture mentality (they exsist we the customers dont. ) Proven point is Rockchip wants to do the fast sell and get new product out without providing fixes to issues month hell years old that they are aware of, The new wintel boxes do something Rockchip devices havent been able to do since they started making them THE WINTEL BOXES WORK AS THEY SHOULD RIGHT OUT THE DAMN BOX JUST LIKE THEY SHOULD!!! Programs work and video works go figger????

I have no personal experience with any of Rockchips SoC's, so I can't say much about them. But, they're hardly the only Ones to be guilty of this crime... I'm looking at you MediaTek! Thankfully as luck would have it I ended up with an Amlogic SoC, and unlike MediaTek, (Or Rockchip?!), have made a half-decent SDK, and released Source for both Android, and Linux. So I'm quite happy to recommend them.

As far as the "It just worksâ„¢"... I never had a problem with my MXIII, that made me want to go back to Wintel. Yeah I'll never be able to use Play Movies on it, or use Netflix in HD (Due to the missing DRM), but OTOH, I can do more with this box because it doesn't have any DRM to stop me. So you have to pick your poison.

Another suggestion might be the Amazon Fire HD, for Netflix. That shouldn't be any more expensive the 2G MXIII.

I suppose asking for a Changelog at this point would be kinda pointless... But, is there a better File Host then Pan.Baidu? The only thing that takes longer then waiting for something to get outta China, is waiting for a Download from China to actually complete. And, Pan.Baidu is not disappointing me again. Five Minutes into my Download I'm still sitting quite comfortably at exactly ZERO bytes.

As a fellow M82 (1G/8G) Owner myself I'd also like to know this. As I've bricked my MXIII very badly on S82 Firmware in the Past. (e.g. 108k4, 109k4), IIRC they started doing AiO (i.e. All in One), Firmwares 'round 110k4, and this seems to have been the case with 111k4, 112k4, and 113k4. Though what the exact difference in 113k4 were besides some corrections to the atrocious spelling in 112k4 were?!

As it is (With a heart felt than you to Abdul_pt!), for giving us 1G/8G Users a working TWRP Nandroid Recovery. I've found that NO FIRMWARE TO HAVE BEEN BETTER THEN 109k4. Where the current 112k4/113k4 suffers from much lag, and what is for me a broken XBMC/Kodi experience. 109k4 will have none of that, and everything is currently as good as the current version of OpenELEC... Well almost, TBF OpenELEC can render a true 720p Frame that fits my TV. The Stock Firmware must be pinched down to ~95% to actually display the Full Frame, but whatever! Lag on the whole is basically non-existent in 109k4 (When taken in comparison with newer Firmwares!), and where my IPTV System is concerned (Mostly on the HD Channels...), I suffer no Audio Lag either.

However I had noticed that in the Pan.Baidu Link for the S82 Version, there was another Download for the MXIII. Which may have been for the 1G/8G Version(s). Of course if you ever tried to download anything from Pan.Baidu, you'd know that it was a virtual impossibility. As I had made an attempt at trying to grab said File this Morning, after reading about this last "Update". But with 47 DAYS! And 27 Minutes.... I just kinda gave it up.

*FYI Nope its probably not me... I have a 500Mbit (~5Meg VDSL Connection), and such Downloads shouldn't take more then Minutes, rather then Days.

As to the Question of Kodi... Much less Lollipop? I probably wouldn't hold my breath...
                          Perhaps someday.... Just not Today!

P.s. I forgot to add that in order to use this, you'll need to also install the Amlogic USB Burning Tool. (WINDOWS ONLY!).
I don't know if these "*.img" Files can also be flashed directly with TWRP Recovery. I haven't really given that a try yet. I suspect that it would work. Though I honestly wouldn't know that for a 100%, as I've always used the Burner Tool up to this point. AFAIK I don't think a conversion in to a MicroSD (*.zip), is possible here.

Just downloading the S82_114K4 rom from @kiziumiziu1981's Google Drive quite speedily. I'll try and post any observations later today.

I have installed S82_114K4 firmware, it comes with XBMC KODI 14.1 but Kodi 14.1 doesn't work properly in 1080p-60Hz HDMI output (on my device). I have uninstalled Kodi 14.1 and istall the newest version of Kodi 15.0 Alpha2 from 2015-03-31 (Android Nightly from KODI website). Now everything works fine

Also, we're still rocking (sarcasm) Android 4.4.2.
                                It's running Kernel 3.10.33 (Fri Mar 27).

I didn't get time to check whether the HDMI issues are still present. The included Kodi doesn't 'auto-framerate switch' depending on source material. I'll need to download SPMC to test this out...
