On the off chance that you must have better luck with Pan.Baidu, as I. Might I not beseech you to also download, and past the MXIII version of the 114k4 Firmware?

    Thanks!

P.s. But, to just make this clear, this is still KOT49H (a.k.a. kitkat 4.4.2 @ Kernel 3.10.33 (Like always!), and the only "difference" is that they finally got 'round to adding a stock Kodi Build? Please tell me they were able to customize it to play 2160p like the "older" XBMC versions. It seems like any further real development on these Boxes has came to a halt.

Oddly enough I don't recall having heard a lot for Mr. Oman of late either? And I dare say I find it only slightly odd that we have received not One, but Two (possible) Firmware Updates with-in a One Month Period? Usually its more like Once every Two Months. At least that's how I found it up to 112k4. Seems to me that 114k4 was more of an afterthought to push the missing Kodi Update to me.

I still have to wonder how craptacular this version of the Firmware is in comparison to 109k4. Which while IMHO infinity better then 110k4 ~ 113k4, wasn't also without its faults (AMCODEC). But, again such Faults as I may have felt that version had at the Time. These literally pale in comparison to those in the latter Firmwares. If it weren't for Retroarch (as such...), I'd have probably stuck with OpenELEC. v5.0.6. Which is also GREAT. but, as it stands 109k4 is my literal "Sweet Spot" on Stock Firmwares at the Moment.

        1) Google "USB BURNING TOOL" - You may want to throw in an extra amlogic just to be sure!
        2) Download and, install it being extra careful in making sure that you also install the WorldCup Driver as well (It should show up as an unsigned Driver which will ask prompt you to install it since this is a Critical Driver which will be needed make sure you don't click past this by mistake!
        3) Connect your "Device" up with a Micro USB (On the OTG Port!), to a free USB Port on your PC and the Power Brick as needed.
        4) Insert your Tooth Pick (I use an old Plastic Q-Tip bit myself...) into the AV Port and make sure to depress the Reset Switch. The press the Power
        5) Probably only applies the first time round but, when you first try to flash said Device you should make sure that the WorldCup Driver which you should have installed already, actually gets loaded into Memory. You do that by continuously holding Toothpick / Q-Tip End etc... on the Reset Switch for upwards of 90s Till Windows is able to locate said Driver, and then actually loads it into Memory!

IIRC the second Option (on the Menu Bar) should allow you to change enough of the Burning Tool into English. and the rest should be simple enough to work out for yourself. I don't know how 114k4 might behave. I do know that you have to disable any, and all Erase Functions on 113k4 for it to successfully flash. If you have any of the Erase Functions set. It'll crash at about ~3% (Sadly with some Error Code that's only written in Chinese).

I don't really think so since you just have to point USB Burning Tool to the *.img File. Wherever it might reside. It will be a lot simpler Once you set the Flag to use the broken Engrish inside Burning Tool where the Chinese changes to the more understandable:

                            File - Language - View - About

So its really as simple as "File" -> "Import Image" -> <DOWNLOAD LOCATION>.

TBH I'm quite loath to break a working 109k4 install. But, I can't help but stare at this like a Trainwreck. I think I might give this *.img File a go from with-in the K200 TWRP Recovery, just to see if that could work. I'll report back on that in a bit. If it does then we could in theory chuck the Burning Tool into the bin.

Unless you really are some kind of freak that actually likes the 3e Recovery that is. Twrp is NOT without its flaws on this Box... The fact that you HAVE TO USE A USB MOUSE for example. is a big con. But, its a reasonable trade-off to be able to make Nandroid Backups. Something that the 3e Recovery will never be able to do...

Ok first of all TRWP was a bit of a bust, as I was unsure how to proceed with it only offering me the options of the Boot (Partition), or the Recovery (Partition),. So I just used the old trusty Burning Tool instead... Now on to the show....

Well at this point its hard to be disappointed when Ones expectations have sunk so low... Everything I hate about the newer (i.e. Post 109k4 Firmware), is still in affect.
Here in Germany we have a device called a Fritz Repeater DVC-C with which you can stream FTA Channels as an intranet stream. Under 110? (Ok not sooo sure about that), but from 111k4 on. has severe Audio Lag on HD Streams. Where as both OpenELEC 5.0.6 & the Stock 109k4 plays this PERFECTLY

Secondly why the Chinese Gnomes chose to dub this as 114k4 is a bit of a mystery to me, as this is more or less what 113k4 should have been. If I didn't see much of a "change" from 112k4... The change from 113k4 is completely invisible!

I was under some delusion that Firmware updates should always improve upon the overall experience. But, its been nothing but, a slow decline... (From a 1G/8G perspective!), it may well be worth updating on a 2G Box? Sadly I may never know. As I'll be replacing this Device in due order with a Minix Neo x8H Plus Device.

At this point unless there's some feature such as "Disable USB-Audio" (Since 113k4!), that you absolutely need... My advice to such 1G/8G Users would be to skip this Firmware... (That in all honesty probably isn't ready for Prime Time yet. And revert back to 109k4 for the time being. This WILL feel more like a real Update.. In hindsight. then these last few releases.

Does the new frimware have the fix for detect sound output automatic? If I turn on my stereo that is plugged in via toshlink it will switch over? This has not work on the FW I am currently on, then I need to set it manually!
