Will a 5v2a charger be sufficient? That's the best one I can find, it came with a 2a one but I lost that so was using tv power or my 0.7a phone charger.
2A is the normal. Just the S802 boxes (and not all of them) are coming with 3A.

You can buy one with free shipping for just 6USD... (the good one, like ZERO Devices charger)

A good AC adapter is important, after compare some ones we clearly know it is better to choose a good one.

OK, so I installed this a few days ago and everything was good, installed apps, checked gmail, etc. I turned it on the morning to do some more customizing and I have no internet connection. The wifi shows connected and I am using the same hotspot for my laptop so I know it is a ROM issue. I am plugged directly into the wall for power so that isnt an issue either. In the pulldown, the wifi icon is orange. What is the best way to get this fixed, new kernel? thanks

The problem isn't kernel related if you had any active wifi connection before the issue began. Has to be something else, like corrupted settings. Try to cancel or "Forget" and renew the access point settings.

Tried that with both my WiFi connections, no luck. I have my phone and home router, both connect to other devices but the stick shows no connection

Just tried a new kernel, fixed my clock speed but still no WiFi. Doing a full clean install now.... Hopefully my WiFi chip hasn't crapped out already....

                  @smic717394

Your new ROM is fine, bit you probably did not understand me, what exactly I need. If you have a time, would you please compile me kernel like this one kernel_24Hz_i.img, which has resolutions

                  1920x1080x60p
                  1920x1080x60i
                  1920x1080x50p
                  1920x1080x50i

This small »i« is crucial to make my equipment work with now and would be nice if we could have it in all resolutions.

The kernel I want is with little overclocked CPU 1704 and little DDR, no GPU overclock.

The 2A Power supply arrived and works great, no more resets

I'm still getting overheat problems. Not like before, but after a long time (~20-25 min) the stick finally reboots.

                          mk802iv

                          Hi guys,

short question: will it work on mk802iv?
i have old wifi version (rtl8188).

i have been playing with many roms but none is as good as official one,
try to root the official 4.4.2 firmware but no success.

                          thanks

RKAndroidTool only sees Mass Storage Usb,cannot install rock USB device driver!

When I connect USB with RKAndroidTool active I get a status message "Found RKAndroid Mass Storage Usb" when the tool is looking for a rock usb device.
The device is connected as Disk drive when I look in Device Manager where I hoped it would be an unrecognized device and then installing the rock usb driver.
How do I force Windows 8 to install it as a rock usb device and not as a disk drive?
Now the Flashtool is giving an error message "Device can not do Flash Mode, because of no drive." when I click the Reboot2Flash button.
I followed your instructions to the letter to no help!
Forget about this question. I have a stick with RK3188T and MK5938SA, so this is at least not the right thread!

My stick is MK802IV, I had installed the V3 with the default settings of Rktools without changing anything, not the kernel, I was with Antutu almost 19,000, and had improved video playback and WIFI enough and not having video pulls no problems of any kind.
I also Flashed V4 default AnTuTu and dropped to 14900 and pulls the video shows, besides the WIFI seems to have worsened, I will continue investigating to see it working, but so far is worse than the V3.

Someone who will do the same and have worsened in the operation?

I have returned to version 3.0, to check the problem of timely video and stoppages. I tried Antutu score and gives me more than the 4.0, and the WIFI aunmenta without stoppages in video, in short, better performance than 4.0 on the stick MK802IV. For what you have in mind SMC.

                                Greetings.

                                greetings and thanks.
