Cube Talk 9x U65GT ROM based on Cube's V 1.8 firmware of 4 July 2014

I have successfully rooted my device using this method.
Now I would like to update my firmware form 1.8 to 1.9, any steps that I should follow or can I just do a wireless update directly? Thanks.

not to 1.9 but to 2.0, use the same method renaming donloaded zip file as update.zip and follow the instructions you posted, but remember: you need to have stock recovery to perform the update!

You can delete china app by original recovery, no need root , noneed PC ,no need driver.

extract, and place the update.zip at sdcard(internalSD),then follow this.

Frozen boot screen



Hi Lepi, Do you have a solution to this problem? Frozen on boot logo & will not boot up. Cannot flash with SP Flash tool. Heard cube had a repair ROM. Do you have link for download? Can this be fixed via Windows? Any help appreciated. Regards.

I have same problem.. Is it possible fix it via windows 7?

I have Black Cube Talk 9x U65GT, 32 GB, ser num 1429, an I also had stock ROM v1.8 , 2014/07/04,.

I have successfully rooted and later upgraded to U65GT_V2.0.9LB_Lepi_150308,

I"ve recently upgraded from stock ROM to TWRP_2.8.5.0_mod_Lepi / U65GT_V2.0.9LB_Lepi_150308, but few days later I started to see notifications that Superuser (Clockwork mod) must be updated:


To the other side, Root Checker and Superuser free (Chainfire), worked just fine.

It didn't let me to uninstall Superuser (Clockwork mod) ?!:

Hence I disabled it to get rid of Update notifications....

Eventually, I've downloaded UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip from https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/, and installled it via TWRP Recovery.

Guess what - Superuser (Clockword mod) just dissapeared after its own update ?!, but I don't mind,
Root Checker and Superuser free (Chainfire) continue working, i.e., tablet is still rooted ok.

If anybody else have had similar experience?

I've rooted my machine. I've added the necessary VCOM preloader. I'm stuck at the next step - creating the scatter file, image and copying the imei via MTK Droid Tool.

I'd really like to do this, but every time I try to extract mtkdroidtool.exe to my machine, Norton tells me the .exe contains a trojan and deletes it immediately. No arguments.
I've googled: "Norton trojan mtkdroidtool site:freaktab.com" with zero results.
Does this software pose any threats to my system, or is Norton overreacting?
Should I make Norton ignore this file, or not?

I've seen a couple of porting of android 6.0 but nothing about android 7.0 and in any case nothing officially released by cube
