The driver that should be installed is the MTK preloader driver... I have not succeeded installing it on win 8 x64 (even disabling driver signature verification), but it works fine with windows 7 x64...

Also tried with Mtk Preloader and disabling driver signature,no go .Must be Windows 8 the worst update from Microsoft.

Try installing it on win 7 x64... It worked for me...

i had some problems with it, the device appeared only for 10-20 sec, but i installed the drivers during that 20sec and it worked. win7 ultimate 64bit.

This thread may help, but the instructions are based on windows 7, so you may need to adapt them for 8.

Try installing it on win 7 x64... It worked for me...

Fortunately (!) I don't have access to a win8 machine so I am unable to help. I am sure there are other tempremental drivers out there, so somebody must have written an article. Google is your friend (or any other search engine...)

This post on xda-developers might help, though. Or this one. The consensus seems to be that the problems are associated with enforced driver signing on windows 8.

Now everything is working fine.

My magnet case has just arrived and I'm experiencing the battery percentage bug... After using case with sleep function, the battery won't display the correct charge... It only displays 99% even after more than 1 hour of use...

Is there a fix for this??

i have now issues too, on the first ss900 1.8 it was working, now with newer version it stucks sometimes. it doesn't stuck if you use the whole battery everyday and charge every night. if battery lasts for a week for example, it's stuck when you start using it next time.

You say it is because of the magnet?
Before that (without case) how was your battery percentage displayed?
I have an identical case and experiencing same bug (September ROM)

@Edius Yes... This is a bug caused by the sleep/wake feature from the cases with magnet... Before using the magnet case, the battery was displayed correctly always...
This was already addressed by several users before me... Just don't know if they found a fix...

Anyway, after using the tab a few more hours, the battery dropped fast to the correct value and now seems to be showing the correct percentage... Self fixed...

my cube's battery wont start charging after it drained empty. can i do something for it?
