I did this today on my 100% working MX2 clone (g18ref board) and it looks like its is bricked. I was running Matricom v1.1.6 on the box before flashing TWRP.
Benibenassi method will not work - No Signal message on TV screen.
Have reported this to daemoni who has been trying to help me (I do not have a UART lead) so be warned!
But my normal openelec system booting fine an i can login oder SSH to terminal.
I there a way to flash a original recovery imag form terminal?

they are both basically the same, so one might work with the other, but the gamestick has bluetooth.

I had a script that could unpack, but since I don't have a aml8726, I trash it.
Can you share the method to unpack/repack ?

Sure, here they are
I included the mkimage that I used since the problem was the one in ubuntu was causing the problem. the one included is from the AMlogic sources.
please note that the script is a MESS, has so many tries and commented code thats useless, but feel free to modify it and use it as you wish.
