Yes I recieved M8N today with new remote, dont knwo what pcb I have but I dont think there are yet clones of the new M8N. Are they all produced from ACEMAX ?

now also in the market, some clones printing with M8/M9 V0.92 or sth else,
but when you play with DTS movie, no sound output at all.....so , also check the box at your hands with DTS movies, play with mx player or video player to see having sound or not
i once asked acemax they selling clones or not, they said: saying clones by acemax is a insult.....so i trust....

one more thing: from october, originals M8Ns also using NANYA memory...to judge via SAMSUNG memory is not only standards.....

market is crazy....
we as buyers have to be very clear....

I wouldn't worry about who makes it as quality isn't any better from one seller to the next just which firmwares are compatible and that board will take any of the newer one's on this forum I believe (all but finless)

Thats the main reason I wanna know...as want to know what stable firmware should I put on it...any suggestions..??

Personally I think Linux is the only thing worth putting on the m8 if you have to have android and don't mind the few bugs then stanes or just me roms.
I haven't found anything that can beat stanes original mx Linux on this box yet.

I have an M8 (model is Best-M8). Comes up with 'Bluetimes' logo. Single band 2.4 GHz Wifi. The PCB is H8&M8_IO V2_0 20140730. Has Samsung memory. I have spent a lot of time trying to update the FW because (a) the Wifi performance is very poor and (b) the box is not very stable i.e., reboots once in a while.

I have tried Finless 1.8 and Stanes Android using toothpick method. With Finless 1.8, nothing happens i.e., the device comes up as I received it out of the box. With the Stanes Android, after power up (with reset pressed), the Bluetimes logo appears and when I release the rest, the Android logo appears. However, the install does not complete i.e., after 15 seconds the progress (blue) bar stops moving and nothing happens. When I restart, I get back to the original startup screen.

Any Help would be appreciated.

I tried openelec and it didn't work. Tried other firmwares, and the progress bar freezes in installation process always.

At this point the unit boots into recovery.

I asked the seller for the stock firmware to this model to restore to the original state and he sent me this:

cyx_h8_ap6181_140903_8g1g_蓝色时代.rar

When i was doing the update, when powering the unit with the reset pressed, the unit won`t power on anymore. Blue light is off.

any ideas?

I also have this same box and I am stuck at the boot screen that says "bluetimes." I tried all other options and had similar results. Any thoughts on how to get it back up?
