It cames with firmware KOT49H.20150728. It is fully compatible with all ENY M8S firmwares that I've tested
After many trials i managed to install latest Android Lollipop from Tronsmart MXIII Plus 106L1_151029

Everything is working fine with this firmware, except from original remote which didn't bother to fix, since i am using an airmouse!

how did you managed to install Lollipop?

Follow tutorial for USB Flashing from Tronsmart website. But first ensure that your box is compatible, to avoid bricking!

Hey guys Ive been trying to help out adzo73 and he sent me a picture of his board. Very strange as its named HTC-M8-MB-V1.1 2015-07-01
He tried flashing megatron rom and it seems its bricked. Blue light still on.

Defo a clone, anyone seen this version before?

This is exactly the same as mine, Ive got the same misprint of which looks like the number 4 is missing so it should be 2014/03/12. Ive 2 of these boxes but I've not access to the other as its at my holiday home. Up until i seen your post i assumed its been a miss print and was hoping my other one had the full date. Can I ask where you got this from? For that mistake to happen they could have come from the same supplier. I got mine of a supplier from alibaba.com

Hello, i have also a clone m8s device, and have tried to update the device but it got stuck. Now i have black no video output and only the blue light burns. I have tried several images, but nothing seems to work. Does any one got a solution for me?

I opened my M8S and the built is exactly like yours. It came with KOT49H.20150307. I just bricked my box last week and it was really unfortunate that I never backup the rom. I unbricked the box with a few firmwares I got from the net, but I still can't find the firmware that fully compatible with it. Appreciate if you can point me to where I can download the firmware that compatible with this box.

i got a bricked m8 dont know if this is a clone hopefully someone can tell me what firmware to use or give me the right stuff to unbrick it i'm almost ready to smash it up with a hammer

That box is fine I have firmware for it that works very well or Stanes Linux works good for it, all the m8 are basically the same whoever you but from just need a decent firmware.

do you know of any that will work on this m8 box it switches on with solid blue light but dont go into the options menu when you use the toothpick method https://www.mediafire.com/folder/olu.../m8_box_images

Try this method for unbricking M8s n200 kot49h.20150728,no blue light.Won't go into recovery.
worked for me but if your box is bricked won't harm it to try.
